Infrastructure

There is a growing concern that planned cities cannot come up independently, it has to border a previous planned city or be around a large city.

This will lead to seoul/tokyo situation where housing is so unaffordable that people stop having kids.

People won't be having kids in NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad.
Not exactly, Tokyo and Seoul are ultra rich cities. Expanding cities is a natural phenomena, there's no other solution. And let's not forget thats what China did as I previously mentioned. China's TFR in 1990 was less than India today.

You're overthinking.

This is Yamuna city/YEIDA being planned and built as a satellite city to Greater Noida, which itself is a satellite city of Noida, which well again is a satellite city of Delhi.

This is how Mumbai metropolitan region is growing and it is how they're supposed to grow.

This a small town in J&K of barely a few thousand people. Sure it isn't something extravagant but very simple. Cleanliness, proper sidewalks with decent urban planning doesn't cost much but can change everything.

By the way, Chandigarh has got multiple satellite cities of it's own

Mohali to the west of chandigarh

New Chandigarh to the north

Zirakpur to the south

There's Kharal and Pinjore but they're a bit far from Chandigarh and it's satellite cities.

Chandigarh's GDP per capita is around 15% less than Delhi

Meanwhile entire Delhi-NCR minus few areas looks like this despite having much higher per capita GDP than the above three.

An ocean of unexplainable filth and misery. Due to no planning and inadequate supply of affordable housing. Not even gonna talk about muslim areas, they are even worse.

Mullah areas were absolute shithole across South Asia region. Only places were they are clean were in Middle East, Iran and various CIS countries due to Soviet influence and Stalin's action. After that lot of African Muslim countries were absolute shitholes, Egypt is complete mess, Iraq, Syria war torn.

Indonesia seems to be great but Java suburbs may be absolute filth.

Even in Chennai areas like Ice House, Triplicane where Mullahs reside is full tier mess, narrow streets of 3 fts, No car parking, cattle lives inside the place and stinks bad. Just put some attar and call the day.

India needs a hundred such cities with Noida scale construction. Only this can help India to sustain high growth and accommodate large population influx to the cities. Subsidising construction will have much higher positive impact on the socio-economic conditions of this country than MNREGA, khatakhat and all will ever have.

In my area there are dustbins but those seem to be for dry waste like say you need to throw a small 200ml juice carton or chips packet or something.

Ofc many of these dustbins go missing because of nashedis or chindi chori gangs because they seem to be made of steel
Two green and blue plastic dustbins are there in my new locality, one for dry and another for wet. It's been two years and those are still there. Might also be high grade plastic though lids are a little wobbly now.

In my area, in morning a loud van comes blasting music house by house to collect all trash and hence it is somewhat cleaner. Surprisingly, even road side trash which are often thrown by svbhumans who somehow are retarded to not dump in van, even is cleaned and collected regularly by a big truck. But the big truck comes every week to collect street trash accumulated and the small van comes in daily to collect household trash.
In MP or some other state?
