Sometimes I wonder how did the Sakhavus permit the building of this port or perhaps they saw it as another source of nokku kooli.

It seems there's some tension in Kerala regarding this port. That is the impress i got after reading the comments section. Lol, another Keralite was lobbying for Adani to help Kerala and I couldnt help but chuckle. He, just like majority of keralites I've met in my life, at the end of the day do agree that they mainland, Hindi speaking Indians help to just keep their state afloat and not go completely bankrupt

Prime Minister announces new airport near Vadhavan Port in Maharashtra, valued at ₹76,220 crore, during BJP election campaign​

The plan to construct the airport had been initially demanded by former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, revealed Modi. He assured that the request would be fulfilled as soon as the election code of conduct for the ongoing Maharashtra elections is lifted. The Prime Minister added that the Centre would soon hold discussions with the State government to finalise the project details.

The Vadhavan Port, approved by the Union Cabinet in June 2024, is set to become the largest port in India. It will be developed as a deep-draft, all-weather greenfield major port in Palghar district. The port is expected to create significant economic opportunities and enhance trade in the region.

They should aim to create a new large city around the area along with large industrial parks else this port will not utilise it's true potential.

This is very much required. People are wasting 2-3 hours one way each day going to and fro between these two cities as well big money. RRTS line between two will save time and money both.​
