Israel is biting off more than it can chew imho. They don't have much of a choice in terms of deconfliction regarding Hezbollah and Hamas but I can assure you, Israel will have a much worse experience than what I see people speculating.
If Israel invades Lebanon instead of these precise bombing campaigns, it will get very ugly very fast.
At the very least, they should fix the southern border before testing Lebanese defenses. Guerrilla warfare can rear it's ugly head any time, even when Gaza is flattened in entirety.
Also, if Jordan and Egypt start getting naughty, that would spell doom for Israelis. I HATE to play the devil's advocate but with rising inflation and unemployment in Egypt, I wouldn't count Sisi out. Its an age old tactic to divert internal tension outwards with a war.
Also, Jordan is a very stable county by ME standards and if it, for whatever reason, decides to get involved (odds are, they might start getting people who have been displaced by war through Syria or something. Lebanese fleeing to and settling in Syria instead of just transiting through Syria to Jordan sounds unlikely.), it will be very, very hard for Israel to pull through without glassing the entire region.
Yes, right now they're all sitting at the sidelines, deterred by USA's glare, but how long that will last is anyone's guess.
