If Russians and Chinese had forethoughts of supplying some of their high-end missiles to Iran, then things can get quite complicated. Also, if Iranian military facilities were heavily fortified and could survive USA/Israel hits, then after the war is over, Iran would simply resume its nuclear program. This is why I think, it was a madness on the part of USA/Israel to start this mess. But who knows, maybe USA/Israel had intelligence that Iran does not really have the ability to do precision strikes on Israel.

Let us see how it plays out. It is too early to call.

In case Israel starts running out of interceptors then US will fly in more THAAD batteries.

Also redeploy more USN assets with SM3 and SM6.

Even US has finite number of war materials. Also, as US increases its engagement in Iran theater, Russia will gain advantage in Ukraine theater and China will gain advantage in Taiwan theater. This can be problematic for US, in case someone in some other theater, also decides to start trouble that would require urgent US intervention.

Keep in mind, Iran does have indigenously built anti-ship missiles in more than adequate numbers that can be used to engage USN assets. Once again, if Russians and Chinese had foresight to supply Iran with some of the advanced sea skimming missiles, it can pose further challenge for USA/Israel.

These missiles are not deliberately targeting civilian areas. They are cheap and therefore inaccurate. Iran will start using more sophisticated ones later, if they have some.

I want to stress this one more time: if Russians did not think of using brinkmanship in Iran theater to tie down USA, then things will get quite complicated for Russia down the road.

Iran has targeted several military installations but missed the mark by around 100 meters everytime, in 2024 attack also same thing happened.
