They have better camo for sure. But are gun optics so well disemminated among troops or is it just for photo ops?

Both Indian and Chinese are camera armies in terms of equipmentThey have better camo for sure. But are gun optics so well disemminated among troops or is it just for photo ops?
That holds true only for the infantry in case of PLA... for now anyway.B

Yo! Guys does this look like an Indian soldier. No, because It's not. For a sec, I was confused, sus. When did army got these new equipments. But the RPK gun cleared it all.
Now, even official handles are putting pics of foreign army as Indian ones. Truly a ViSHwaGUrU moment. Am very proud. This the modernization we all want.

Thanks, i have been seeing pictures of Chinese gun telescopes, dune buggies, segways since y2k decade. I guessed they first concentrated getting mechanized asap. Maybe thats the reason infantry are the last ones to see transformation ?Well it's not that straightforward
> Of the 2.5M total, most of the PLA troops are conscript/reservist/garrison troop or whatever weird designation they use. They get the good ol' QBZ-95 with just irons.
> Then come a small chunk of these who are either issued sights based on things like seniority/specialized role or they simply buy aftermarket sights.
> And lastly we've the front line troops. These guys are currently small in numbers but have seen some MARCOS level transformation over the years.

And sights are also being standard issued to these troops

As a rule of thumb, if a PLA soldier is in Type-21 kit (above pic) and has anything from the new family of small arms (QBZ-191/192, QBU-191, QJB-201) then he would be having a sight with him.
That's a good change but what makes him think that it was so important for everyone to know that he is ATGM or jump qualified?View attachment 13306

Its a culture in fauj…classic easy case for enemy sniper bullets. That's a good change but what makes him think that it was so important for everyone to know that he is ATGM or jump qualified?
If they are that oblivious of the impact things can happen on the frontlines, then I think they earned the bullet. Its a culture in fauj…classic easy case for enemy sniper bullets.

You can never have an optimum sized ceramic plate to cover your body as it'll make you completely immobile. So because the plate is way smaller than the body it becomes extremely important to place it in a way which covers the "vitals" as much as possible. Something like thisView attachment 13306

Yup, I know.As a rule of thumb.
Chinese are good at mass production and standardization.
Go through any photo in the last 30 years that came out and check if there is a difference in gear of two soldiers in the same unit. Never seen one myself. Standardization is both part of Chinese culture and Commuist regime.
In our case I don't know whether it's the general hoodwinking Ministers concern or ministers don't mind the lack of Standardization.
