Movies and TV series

Yeah, seen it.
Very original, and has a uniquely dystopian vibe.

Again, binged it in one sitting but I did feel elements of "mystery-box storytelling" near the end.

All are miniseries:

BlackBird - True Crime miniseries about a serial killer and how the cops try to find out about his crimes.
The Night of - A guy gets accused of a crime, and his quest for being acquitted.
The Outsider - Based on a Stephen King's novel. Horror-crime.
True Detective Season 1 - IMHO, the best HBO has ever produced. This is technically not a miniseries, but to me it is - season 1 is where it peaked, you won't miss anything by ignoring the other seasons.
watch ozark , it's quite good with sudden twists and turns.

Had completely given up on finding a good spy-thriller that wasn't politically correct or woke or just watered down, then I found The Bureau or Le Bureau des légendes by accident.

It's a French spy-thriller tv series, kinda like Homeland but way better imho.
Revolves mostly around Guillaume, a spy for the French DGSE(as opposed to CIA in The Homeland); seems pretty realistic and doesn't pull its punches around Islamists either. Guillaume is also less hysterical than Claire. The character-drama comes from better and more realistic character-development, imo.

Compared to modern shows, actually features convincing, compelling and strong female characters and not your average girlboss, yass-queening her way through episodes.

Also, the actress that played Nadia...man, she made me feel things.

Needed a new show to watch right on time

I have seen few Korean movies:

1. Memoir of a Murderer
2. The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil
3. Train to Busan

K-Drama seen so far:
1. May Queen
2. Hotel King
3. Revolutionary Love
4. The Kingdom

2-3 more Zombie themed shows!

They focus on strong screenplay even if story being quite average for many movies and shows.

Apart from Sci-Fi (Mostly Zombies) the TV shows primarily revolve around:
1. Revenge Theme
2. Detective/Police Theme
3. Rich Girl-Poor guy/PoorGirl-RichGuy love shows

Different permutation and combination of these three themes are recycled again and again in 90% of the shows.
want more recommendation on kdrama watch my two absolute favorites - My mister and hospital playlist (never thought i would be so interested in lives of doctor , sorry docs no offense 😅)
The Kingdom is absolute blast series , don't know why that shitty squid game got popular instead of this banger.

korean movies would be - along with the gods ( great action pack movie with great VFX at half the budget of race 3)
be with you ( such great movie about mother-son relation)
divine fury ( watch exorcist wrestle devil and ghosts in UFC style).

Doctors shows around the world - American, European, Indian, Asian - all are pretty much highly inaccurate and hence I don't like them at all.
Police shows have better mix of reality with reel life.
