Movies and TV series

Yeah, seen it.
Very original, and has a uniquely dystopian vibe.

Again, binged it in one sitting but I did feel elements of "mystery-box storytelling" near the end.

All are miniseries:

BlackBird - True Crime miniseries about a serial killer and how the cops try to find out about his crimes.
The Night of - A guy gets accused of a crime, and his quest for being acquitted.
The Outsider - Based on a Stephen King's novel. Horror-crime.
True Detective Season 1 - IMHO, the best HBO has ever produced. This is technically not a miniseries, but to me it is - season 1 is where it peaked, you won't miss anything by ignoring the other seasons.
watch ozark , it's quite good with sudden twists and turns.

Had completely given up on finding a good spy-thriller that wasn't politically correct or woke or just watered down, then I found The Bureau or Le Bureau des légendes by accident.

It's a French spy-thriller tv series, kinda like Homeland but way better imho.
Revolves mostly around Guillaume, a spy for the French DGSE(as opposed to CIA in The Homeland); seems pretty realistic and doesn't pull its punches around Islamists either. Guillaume is also less hysterical than Claire. The character-drama comes from better and more realistic character-development, imo.

Compared to modern shows, actually features convincing, compelling and strong female characters and not your average girlboss, yass-queening her way through episodes.

Also, the actress that played Nadia...man, she made me feel things.
