All the western countries who have observed the 3 day banging of porks will have serious problems with rise of Indian defensive capabilities more than offensive It was well known that there is hardly any weapon that can intercept Brahmos (THAAD and S400 can do) and no surprises were there but real surprise came with how we used all our legacy system fusion with modern system and few desi jugaad. The drone warfare and intercepts of missiles was much sophisticated than what’s going on in Russia/Ukraine.

Most of India's peacenik stances are courtesy of the MEA worrying about 'log kya kahenge'.

Post op analysis clearly shows that the IAF was restrained until a Haft missile flew and was intercepted over Sirsa, Haryana. After that some major asses were ripped apart and IAF got the free hand to do whatever it wanted.

The real reply to Paki getting J35 should be a massive increase in our offensive missile forces. Our objective should be to neutralize the J35 in the airbases before they can take off. Pakis can't easily remedy their lackluster AD. And missiles are our strength, so leverage our strength and enemy weakness, make taking down J35 on Paki airbases an operational objective at least, if not a strategic objective. Its not like they'll buy more than a squadron of J35, its not many targets even if they're hidden in HAS.

We have already set the stage that next time, we will hit Paki Armed Forces directly, no "terrorist targets only hit" drama like 2019 or this time. So we can easily take out J35 on ground itself.

Yet here we see members running helter skelter wondering which 5th gen FA we will buy to fight off Paki J35 smh..... we will need 5th gen FA against PLAAF, not PAF.

Strong signs of Su 57 purchase are on the horizon. That is the only 5th gen (sort of) aircraft where we will have some level of control over weapons integration.

Under the circumstances, probably the only choice. If J35 jungi thayaara comes to the neighborhood, we need something to fight it with. This way the import bahadurs, Chandigarh lobby, UNA AF - all are happy!

He is Saquib Nachan.

First arrested in 1991 for a Gujarat terror case, sentenced to life, but the SC reduced it to 10 years. He walked free in 2001. Did he reform? Lol.

In 2003, arrested again for the triple Mumbai blasts, sentenced to 10 years but released early for good behaviour. Did he reform? Lol.

He went back in his village Padgha (Thane rural), declared it a ‘liberated zone’ called ‘Al-Sham’, administered ‘Bayath’, an oath to ISIS Khalifa, recruited youth from Padgha-Borivali, and plotted terror across India. In 2023, arrested again for planning a drone attack on Mumbai. Will he reform? Lol. You might say no. But trust the judiciary to give him another chance.

To know how much the judiciary loves him : In 2024, while in jail, he moved the SC against govt notifications declaring ISIS a terrorist organization. The Court, instead of dismissing his plea outright, heard it, allowing him to represent himself online.

Several of his relatives are terrorists, some fought for ISIS in Syria.
Any sane system would have neutralized him at the first crime itself, but our justice system enabled him to create an empire of terrorism, recruiting so many others.

@Ajayant Tripathi See how serious our courts are when it comes to NatSec. To them their own holier than thou ideals, how impractical & detrimental to the country could be, are above NatSec. NIA and Indian states try every thing in the book to put these guys behind bar that's why the conviction rate is almost 96%. But courts have this stupid humanity bs, where they can reduce the jail term or even grant them parole/bail (funnily enough many have ran away during these periods yet courts haven't learnt their lessons).

Did the cops who arrested him ever hear the word encounter? Sheesh, why so soft corner for repeat offenders when there are better methods which cost 200 rupees, you know what I mean :cool:
 
Man, is there ever a massive pile of mendacity at work in propping up the Pakistani military, both from within the country and globally. There are stakes involved including Anglo American geopolitical interests, weapons manufacturers, counterbalancing India by the West in general, and Chinese compulsions. Add to that global Islamist ideology, and you can see why lies and falsehoods are propagated on behalf of Pakistan. Which makes the Indian achievement that much more impressive- and important.

Like I've already explained, against Paki purchase of Chinese 5th gen FA, we don't need to panic buy 5th gen FA of our own, simply leverage their lack of a good AD and strategic depth, use our missiles to kill J35 on the ground.

Against PLAAF, this doesn't work. But still, instead of panic buying 5th gen FA, our main thrust should be getting a stealthy CCA like Ghatak operational ASAP with good IIR and radar modules, then develop BVR tactics that leverage these CCA as pickets ahead of our 4.5th gen FA. Use sensor netting to get firing solutions. Focus on ensuring the ability to replace loses and make a huge number of these CCA at a reasonable cost (indigenization of almost entire supply chain is possible)

In a parallel effort, proliferate MANPADs (DRDO VSHORADs), their IIR seekers can target Chinese 5th gen and they will be stationed in Himalayas, so their reach will be enough to hit even high flying Chinese 5th gen FA. Use L band and VHF band radars for cues on where the a Chinese 5gen FA are, so MANPADs can be deployed on time and location.

This is stuff we can do on our own without relying on others and present an asymmetrical but viable defense against enemy 5th gen FA.


Make these and AMCA the focus of our funding. If you still have spare funds after that, consider Su57 panic buy / amca de-risk buy

It's not log kya kahenge. If the top boss' 2/3 kids are settled in USA along with his subordinates' kids, they can't take decisions that would make 3 letter agencies visit their kids.
 
what were the chance that chines satellite helped porkies in this Operation Sindoor, and what is the likely chance that the pokies tell chinese to upgrade their AD system and train the porkies soldiers...
Me too believe that if we don't have 5th generation craft, then till we get lets upgrade the loopholes as said by one member here, and we have intelligent and brilliant people in these fields which can get the best jugaad so as to give an ample shock to chinese....
