I am not going to go on conspiracy theories about Dr. Jaishankar. But he did look a bit angry and not his usual cool self when he gave that briefing. He normally knows exactly what to say but not during that briefing. He must have been under a lot of stress because Pakis called out his BS and hit back with their military despite his unnecessary cautions to them. India’s foreign service has always been a bit naive when it comes to international diplomacy. I find them not knowing what to say and how to say it. They say things that the world does not understand or appreciate. Look at the kinds of people Americans appoint as top diplomats. They are proven leaders who can bend the narrative to their styles.
Jaishankar kept saying the targets were not paki military but he also kept saying paki military sent these terrorists. People can get confused as to why we have a strategy like this and this dents his credibility. Who are we trying to appease by making such statements? No one cares. The world would have appreciated more if we said the Paki military had a hand and just gone after them. I have said this before: making such gandhigiri type statements makes us look foolish. No one believes such statements from us. I say we stop with such statements. Not a single credible international press applauded us for not targeting the porki military. Did even pacifist Japan applaud our “principled” stand? This has not happened in the past either when we said the same during Pulwama attack that we are not targeting Paki military. Did this prevent the Pakis from targeting our military?
Why do we say such things? Why? The west no longer gives a shit about India due to our Russian positioning. So, why are we giving a shit about them? Strength respects strength. Do not do this unnecessary Gandhigiri. It is ridiculous.
Subcontinent wale sulle zadatar aise hi hote hai, just look at ours or the kanglus.Even if the Pakistani army were publicly humiliated and forced to surrender in front of international media, this corrupt and morally bankrupt institution would still manage to convince its already indoctrinated, uneducated populace that it had won the war. Pakistan’s core issue lies in its uneducated population, which has a tendency to unquestioningly submit to the authority of its army. Engaging them with logic is often futile. The promotion of Maulana Muneer serves as a clear example of this dynamic.
Worth only if they give us the source code. Period. The reply to Pakistan getting J-35 (if) is not Su-57, it is more robust air defence. The arguments for Su-57(won't get them for 3-4 years if ordered today) has to be clearer than a knee-jerk move. Without heavy Indian modifications like in the Su-30MKI, if will likely be an expensive albatross around our neck.I think DRDO has a better idea today of what they require vis-a-vis 5th gen tech.
If the Russians are going to give us decent tech wrt certification and mass production like advanced additive manufacturing, help establish test facilities, etc then I don't care if we go ahead with the Su-57s.
I'm sure the DRDO and the government know what they want and what they have to extract out of the Russians.
I am for the multi party delegations especially after the fuck up from MEA. Everything about the way they handled Operation Sindoor is atrocious.
The foreign secretary, Vikram Misri appeared nervous and couldn't pronounce Hindi words during the presser. He started with floral language that wasn't media friendly in an environment where narrative is key.
- Press briefings
Col. Qureshi and Wg Cdr. Singh lacked media training and appeared nervous or uncertain at times and often cutting into each other's thoughts. There appears to be no rehearsal, pre-briefings, etc to prepare them on body language, tone and objectives.
The whole briefing segments appeared ad hoc and lacked the finesse that the DGMOs brought to the table. This idea of 'Nari Shakti' virtue signaling was not welcomed by the West and didn't earn any brownie points from anyone besides WhatsApp boomers.

Later on it was found that his daughter Didon Misri was a legal aide to Rohingya refugees and he had to block his twitter account in disgrace due to trolling on SM.

Who the hell would do anything like this? You are telling the OPFOR that you are going to strike them and won't do any SEAD/DEAD and are expecting no response in good faith?
- Warning Pakistan before attacking the terror camps
These MEA idiots almost setup the IAF for heavy losses. It's a small miracle that we only have 2 probably losses (Rafale - Bhatinda, Punjab and Mig 29UPG - Ramban, J&K).

This happens to be the only criticism from Tom Cooper regarding Operation Sindoor.

Most of India's peacenik stances are courtesy of the MEA worrying about 'log kya kahenge'.Criticism of Vikram Misri because of his daughter is uncharitable and meaningless. His daughter makes her own choices.
Where did you get that we warned Pakistanis before? From Rahul Gandhi's English comprehension? At the start is not the same as before the start.
Even assuming that the above is true, how is it the EAM's or FS's fault? They would do it independently of the PM, RM & the NSA?
The real reply to Paki getting J35 should be a massive increase in our offensive missile forces. Our objective should be to neutralize the J35 in the airbases before they can take off. Pakis can't easily remedy their lackluster AD. And missiles are our strength, so leverage our strength and enemy weakness, make taking down J35 on Paki airbases an operational objective at least, if not a strategic objective. Its not like they'll buy more than a squadron of J35, its not many targets even if they're hidden in HAS.Worth only if they give us the source code. Period. Strong signs of Su 57 purchase are on the horizon. That is the only 5th gen (sort of) aircraft where we will have some level of control over weapons integration. The real reply to Paki getting J35 should be a massive increase in our offensive missile forces. We have already set the stage that next time, we will hit Paki Armed Forces directly, no "terrorist targets only hit" drama like 2019 or this time. So we can easily take out J35 on ground itself.
Yet here we see members running helter skelter wondering which 5th gen FA we will buy to fight of Pali J35 smh..... we will need 5th gen FA against PLAAF, not PAF.

NIA has 95% conviction rate but what really happens is the court comes to save the terrorists in the name of human rights. One such example of courts being sympathetic to a repeated offender, that too an ISIS terrorist.

He is Saquib Nachan.
First arrested in 1991 for a Gujarat terror case, sentenced to life, but the SC reduced it to 10 years. He walked free in 2001. Did he reform? Lol.
In 2003, arrested again for the triple Mumbai blasts, sentenced to 10 years but released early for good behaviour. Did he reform? Lol.
He went back in his village Padgha (Thane rural), declared it a ‘liberated zone’ called ‘Al-Sham’, administered ‘Bayath’, an oath to ISIS Khalifa, recruited youth from Padgha-Borivali, and plotted terror across India. In 2023, arrested again for planning a drone attack on Mumbai. Will he reform? Lol. You might say no. But trust the judiciary to give him another chance.
To know how much the judiciary loves him : In 2024, while in jail, he moved the SC against govt notifications declaring ISIS a terrorist organization. The Court, instead of dismissing his plea outright, heard it, allowing him to represent himself online.
Several of his relatives are terrorists, some fought for ISIS in Syria.
Any sane system would have neutralized him at the first crime itself, but our justice system enabled him to create an empire of terrorism, recruiting so many others.
@Ajayant Tripathi See how serious our courts are when it comes to NatSec. To them their own holier than thou ideals, how impractical & detrimental to the country could be, are above NatSec. NIA and Indian states try every thing in the book to put these guys behind bar that's why the conviction rate is almost 96%. But courts have this stupid humanity bs, where they can reduce the jail term or even grant them parole/bail (funnily enough many have ran away during these periods yet courts haven't learnt their lessons).
