Individual freedom for what ? What exactly
Cheating ?

Individual freedom to decide whether to marry or not.
Individual freedom to decide whether to have kids or not
Individual freedom to decide how many kids to have.
Individual freedom to get in or break up the relationship( the more relationship a person( specially women) has been in, the lesser the bonding capacity remain, less bonding/love less desire to commit= less marriages.)
Individual freedom to spread your idelogy and influence people, specially younger generation to follow social liberalism.
Etc.

As said before if you desire for family system and long term stability to remain, then lots of modern Individual freedom will need to be sacrificed, and society as a whole will need to be prioritized more as a whole, like traditional societal models.
The laws that we're set, the basic values and ideals that we're set up as the base for modern society itself goes against family system and long term stability based on human nature, humans are pragmatic creatures with desires, the basic values and laws of the society/group act as guiding hand and give direction to how the desires of masses will shape up
we are just seeing the natural progression and erosion of traditional society and family system that is expected.

So as said before, you have to either sacrifice long term stability and family system or individual freedoms and gender equality.
Can't have both.
And like rest of modern world that former is being eroded in our country too and later is taking presidence.

Recently got an news from my mothers colleague who is from MP (Madhya Pradesh). Apparently there seems to lot of scam is being done by bridegroom family for alimony by threatening the husband family to get money or you will face dowry case. He said in his locality 4 guys were victim of this scam and his own brother is afraid to get an women to avoid these kind of situation.

Be safe fellow brothers and it is better to investigate bridegroom background to avoid such situation. Also he said his brother met an girl who don't know cooking and she does not even said she will try to cook.

Cooking is not requirement is bullshit. In tier 1 cities if both of them were working it is better both know cooking otherwise, you can happily eat in Zomato and Swiggy. Over the period of time you will end up obese and have all health issues (get ready to pay lakhs in hospital). Also women should know driving 2 and 4 wheelers, it is basic requirement for me nowadays. Otherwise in an emergency you cannot rely on one person to save the ass.

bhai the most seemingly mismatched but functionally perfect and happy couple i have seen in my life, is parents of my sindhi friend from college,

his mother's totally...how to put it...liberal youthia chhap, somewhat bimbo-ish, she literally told me on face "me bhale 45+ hoon par muje apne 20 around friends jaise hi treat karna tee hee don't treat me like some middle aged aunty" before shaking hands with me

while his father...clad with at least three gemstones in his right hand, a big rudraksh pendant in neck, a big red tilak on forehead, always greeting others with 'Jai Mataji' or 'Mahadev Har', your typical old school sanskari uncle with modest conduct

i was so confused ki yeh jodi bani kaise? aur bani toh chal kaise rahi hai?!
but spending some time with them at this friend's home as i visited him at times, i realised it happened because despite differences in their outlook and personalities, both of them were rooted hard in family values, they complimented each other's...sides and carried things together,

it's also a thing that they were rich people so perhaps it's easier for them to get over these polar opposite things in a marriage; but i really never felt anything wrong with that couple, rather i felt joyed to see their happy lives

People say many nasty things in anger. People in Delhi casually threaten to sodomize the opponent or rape the opponent's mother over small issues. If we take such statements at face value, 90% male population of North-West India will be rotting in jails.

After the grand success of Sholay, the female leads in the successive movies were written as street-smart business women (tangewaali, chaaku-choore-wali, street-performer etc) to match the successful characterization of Hema Malini in that particular movie.

In a country of 1.4 billion people, it is not a hard task to cherry-pick one particular type of story and present it as a social trend. Few years back it was all about Rapes, now the media has found a new masala.

This too shall pass.

I mean, at the end of day, the women we are marrying will brought up in different way compared to us. It is matter of compatibility. As long as they are understanding their own plus and minuses it is good.

Also work life balance is important, just working like an mad idiot and then worrying that you did not enjoy anything as an couple in old age. Just try to balance.
