Pahalgam Islamic Terror Attack

Members should dive deep to analyse and also look at Pakistan’s recent acquisition of defence products, and compare it with our acquisitions, which are installed by geniuses. After committing resources to the China front, we are at complete parity with the Pakistan Army and Air Force, except for the Navy.
Members should check Pakistan’s army defence equipment and ours through open sources — you are not going to like what you see. Also, look at Google Maps: most Pakistan military bases (army or air force) are in close proximity to Indian borders, so the argument that Pakistan will be drained economically does not hold much weight. They can mobilise very easily.
Harvest time is also over, so there is no loss to agriculture. Also, look at Pakistan’s imports from abroad — they can easily be sustained through the Karakoram Highway. Moreover, Pakistan consumes 35% smuggled diesel petrol from Iran, so there is no urgent need for large fuel imports for their army.
The supply of ammunition can be sustained through the Karakoram Pass, which, by the way, has nearly 1.5 billion dollars in trade.
It’s a fucking trap laid by the Chinese and Pakistanis. Both have a long-term game plan: the Chinese do not want the global supply chain to shift, nor do they want peer neighbours as competitors. Pakistan stands to gain significantly — if they manage to land a serious blow on us, it will have a domino effect on the Muslim psyche in South Asia, tilting it towards Pakistan, among many other consequences.
Analyse deeply, members — it’s not a fucking video game. It’s a matter of prestige, life, economic damage, our aims toward China, and much more.
Pakistan doesn’t have the balls to mobilise troops without someone’s backing.
So what do you suggest? We keep let them killing our civilians?

You are not Dharti Putra.

And you know the sad part...

It's not like we don't have the money. This year the IA/MOD returned 12500 crores from their budget because they (apparently) couldn't spend it.

I mean, Armasen Tactical Plate carriers cost ~4,000 INR. If we bought 5,00,000 pieces, then it costs 2,000 crores.

With plenty left for NVG's, Integrated knee pad trousers, ballistic helmets, camo paint, sights for battle rifles etc etc etc..

Just for half of that money returned, we could have modernized our SF and frontline troops and the remaining maybe use it on procuring artillery and heavy weaponry. These are all short term procurement stuff and should've been done easily.
A number of large scale orders were placed in March, 2025. Article from February, 2025.

@ezsasa , any idea how much was returned, eventually?

Vertical helicopter envelopment, a tactical maneuver in which troops, either air-dropped or air-landed, attack the rear and flanks of a force, in effect cutting off or encircling the force. Such an operation is needed for the capture of POK. We don't have enough helicopters, our MI 17 doesn't have MAWS or RWR. So my question is how we will capture POK, when we are not prepared both training-wise and equipment-wise. Our military leaders have not done anything for the past few decades.

Interestingly, Pakis are using the same term Modi used for them on repeat in their tv channels. Terrorists ke Aaka to describe the freedom fighters and their backers in waziristan.

If there is an iota of shame left, we should sign the MRFA for 114 Rafales or Su57s or F35s - whichever can be expedited. Minor qualitative differences don't matter given HAL will take another 40 years on 5th gen. 5th gen is preferred but 4.5 v/s 5th is just semantics considering our current situation. Let's get the numbers up first.

Mass order the self-propelled arty and MBRLs - ATAGS, VAJRA, Pinaka and whatever others.

Mass order stealth cruisers and destroyers carrying cruise missiles and ASMs.

Stop all SOPs and freebie schemes to fund it. Turn this around in the next decade or just STFU and watch this country dither away which is already moth eaten by demographic changes.

Then I wake up and smell my coffee :facepalm4:

That chinese made SH-15/PCL-181 truck mounted howitzer(videos above) is the only equipment in Paki army that we should be concerned about... & they have it in numbers... approx 300. We have 0 in this category.

Shoot & scoot capability becomes more important in short wars which is about to unfold.

We allowed the deficiencies and capability gaps to increase... and hence a rabid jihadi state 1/12th in economy kills and maims our populace and is challenging us for war.
They have plenty of other equipment that will be a real pain the behind for our armed forces. For example the A-100 300mm class MRBL - which safe to say comes with guided rockets.
China's discount S-300 SAM, air launched cruise/ballistic missiles, glide PGMs will also be a major concern.

And do we have any deterrent for these?
