Pahalgam Islamic Terror Attack

Have seen a retired serviceman's video doing the rounds on WhatsApp which calls into question why none of the several able bodied men fought back, maybe some of you have also seen it. I am not going to go and check back on this thread if it's been commented on but he says out of all of them only the pony operator supposedly fought back and he wasn't even threatened, rest of them just meekly did what they were told to and even dropped their pants when asked to. Even someone who charged at the terrorists and went for their guns could've prevented many of these deaths. When facing assault rifles though, even 2 serving men couldn't do anything probably also because they were with family so I'm not sure if it's as easy as this gentleman is saying it was to show some fight and not co-operate in that situation. It takes more than training but a particular frame of mind/temperament to deal with such situations which most city dwelling Indians just don't/won't have due to a lack of need.
Those two men who lost their lives were Navy and Air force personnel. I have spent 19 years of my life in various Air force stations and I know most of the manpower in Air force and significant manpower in Navy is non combatant and physically unfit, Officer and Air men don't even know how to handle rifle properly, especially MTDs(mechanical transport drivers) , accounts section, ATC personal etc. In Army almost all of the manpower is combatant and properly trained. In Airforce number of women officers are increasing and they don't go through any "ragda", so their male batchmates also don't go through any "ragda" or tough physicall routine. In 90's and early 2000's a lot of lady officer were daughters of senior officers of Army, Navy, Air Force( Both retired and serving) and they would use their contacts through their father's to skip any tough training regimen and as a result training of male male officer was also compromised, I am sure similar culture is going on in present times also. So whoever believe they were properly trained soldiers then I want to tell you that most man power in Air Force and significant manpower in Navy are as lazy as random civilians.

This sounds well.........stupid.
Why would you develop a weapon system whose primary drawback is that it's volley of payloads, launched at the same time will almost certainly give away its position to the enemy which is conventional army in this case. India already has MUCH better alternatives to that. For instance, SCALP missiles launched from Rafales would be less detectable, way more devastating and more accurate than any MBRL system in the market right now.
Now coming to the question of why we haven't acted upon this if we have the required arsenal. You have to understand that escalation has levels. In a conflict there is vertical escalation and horizontal escalation. In this conflict between nuclear armed nations, unchecked vertical escalation can cause nuclear war ffs! You can't just bomb the headquarters of a nuclear state and expect to get away with it, dude!
And please PLEASE keep in mind that for better or for worse, India is not the US. We don't hold the unequivocal right to be a global asshole. Our civilizational history is the basis for our very core values and Indians for one know how to fix things with finesse. And trust me, we as civilians know barely 1% of what tactical finesse is.
Please don't use adjectives like 'stupid'. Using any form of abuse even if very mild in nature means that you don't have convincing logical arguments.

First the Chinese have the MBRL systems like the PHL- 16 and the PCL- 191 which have ranges from 350 to 500 kms.
If the PLA has seen sense in developing these very long range MBRL systems, you cannot call the professionals in the PLA stupid for their efforts.

You personally may not agree with the idea. Fine, but don't use words like stupid to artificially inflate your IQ level.

If you want an American type response 'I care a damn about your arguments'.

The idea per se is technically feasible.

The flowery statement that 'you can't just bomb the headquarters of a nuclear state' shows that you are chicken hearted. Okay, I respect your opinion but please don't deride the opinion of others.

For God's sake - You cannot win the war by by bombing the Rawalpindi GHQ of the Pakistan Army. Its more about delivering psychological blows to the enemy and degrade his morale.

If we want to end this diplomatically we can say
'we agree to disagree'
Or if you prefer an exchange of abuses, so be it.

Millitary headquarters are usually underground bunkers. If taking down a headquarter was so easy zelensky wouldn't be alive today
The objective is not to wipe out the entire Pakistan Army leadership.
You cannot win the war by simply bombing Pak army GHQ.
It is to demoralise them and expose their vulnerability.
More psychological warfare.

Hopefully it was a psyop and not an actual retired personnel who asked why didn't civilians without any combat training start their Hero arc.

Because all it would happen is you'd get shot by the second or third guy.
No it's actually worse than that.

Please go through the sequence of events.

Men with guns show up. Ask the men to stand apart from their wife and kids. Ask religion.

Hindu.

Shoot the man.

Then state explicitly that we are not going to harm women and children. Some perverse morality. State it loud enough for all to hear.

Now the men have 2 choices.

Either comply and die silent, with a large probability of survival of your wife and kids.

Or show herogiri and wrestle with the terrorists, causing the terrorists to shoot your wife and kids in front of you before they shoot you.

And the larger is the no of men they shoot, leaving the women and children alone, the greater is the incentive for the rest of men to choose option 1.

So, all you bachelor dreams of Rambogiri, shove them up your bunghole. Because it's easy for you to say when it's just your life. This is a choice that puts even their wife and children's lives at risk, and that's a whole other equation to solve.

For all of you saying they would do this and that, I have no shame in saying that I would have done the same thing all of these men did.

They chose to die without fighting in the hope of keeping their wife and kids safe. Every single one of these men already knew they were dead when the first shot was fired.

They just chose the life of their family over their pride.

Which is the hardest choice to make for a man.

If I have to face a choice like that, I hope I choose the same. I just hope the Gods give me the strength to die without begging and with the name of Narayana on my lips.

I
Another fellow who was also an Army man showed the presence of mind and calm head which saved a few more lives. He had some luck too because he was late but still didnt' act like a headless chicken.

i don’t understand, even military wala are such foolish people that they are going to Kashmir with family. No wonder modern Hindus don’t have survival instincts and shatrubodh.
Indian bureaucracy and leadership (be it militarily and civilian) is bunch of people who are only for perks and not for duty.
