Project 75 A Class Submarines

QQ ..This whole process of construction will take decade atleast to construct 2 , so going by this rate remaining 4 will take 2 decades so by 2055 we will have all 6 .
If this is construction rate it seems pretty slow doesn't it

As far as Iam aware, SSBNs aren't escorted by SSNs. There is no such thing as SSBN being protected by SSN. SSBN is standalone and should completely isolate themselves in areas of blocks and course in the charted path.

That is for boats that are advanced & powerful enough to not only remain undetected but run away if need be. Like Ohio, Vanguard or Borei.

A small, underpowered & (relatively) noisy boat like Arihant class cannot survive on its own. Neither could earlier Chinese SSBN classes.

In their case, they worked around this by going with the Bastion concept: having their SSBN swim around in a relatively access-controlled sea like Bohai where the chance of becoming exposed to foreign SSNs is low.

But our surrounding waters like BoB are fully open to the ocean so that's not a viable option for us at this point.

Until S5 class fully replaces all earlier SSBNs as the deterrence platform, we don't have a choice but to get SSNs to protect the boomers.

Its confusing, some are saying the reactor is only the uprated Arihant Reactor to 100MWt and its max MWe can be around barely 20MW sufficient for a 5000-Ton SSN to reach some 30-Knots and the 190MW Reactor is delayed and nowhere in sight. Now, these people are saying 10,000-Tons. But I don't know how feasible it is to build a SSN that has that large tonnage to reach top speeds unless they thought of trading away extra speed for extra stealth inside that volume. Basically Russkie jugaad.
