Dear DFB-IANS.
It's not an uncommon sight to see Bangladeshis online talk about geopolitics and global standing of Bangladesh.
But for some reason, nearly every time they have to bring India into the topic. Now why do they do this? Why the obsession with India?
Let me explain to you all my fellow members of DFB.
You see, when a country like BD is a neighbour of India sharing a border with us, they have the privilege of receiving more attention from the world as from their POV (Ofcourse there are dozens of points but I will list a few just to keep the list short for now):
"1. We are sharing a border with the cow-piss drinking pajeets, meh in a given war we will have to face the entire brunt of the Indian Military and the world knows about Endia's imperial ambitions."
"2. Our economy is better than Endia because we have higher Per Capita than India and Indians are more poorer than Bangladeshis. "
"3. With a country like India right at Bangladesh's doorstep, Bangladesh has to play geopolitics properly and smartly to maintain the supremacy of BD against Modi's fascist regime that suppresses minorities such as muslims and Christians in India".
Lets come back to my points that I will address now in this #post.
#1. India has no imperial ambitions about annexing or taking over Bangladesh and even if we were given a chance to integrate Bangladesh for free into the Indian Republic, we would never do so.
#2. BD's ecomomy is not even a fraction of that of India and its well known that Bangladesh fudges all its economic data. Even reputable international experts have stressed how Bangladesh's current economic figures are simply not true & not in touch with reality. Afaik BD's per capita had surpassed that of India momentarily for a brief period of time but that was during the Covid Pandemic. Bangladesh having a PCI higher than India now is a dream.
3. Not even worth wasting the bandwidth to reply to this nonsense. Some 15 year old Raqibool with his Cheap Chinese smartphone can sit in some corner of Dhaka and write all his dreams of doing Ghazwa Hind and rolling over the Indian Military but that doesn't change the fact that any misadventure by Bangladesh militarily will result in a short and devasting defeat and India won't have to even allocate 1/10th of it Army for such an operation.
It's the same case with the country called Pakistan. Pakistan was created as an enemy of India, its sole existence is to act as an obstacle to India's growth as a major regional power and for this, it has been propped up by NATO and Allies. The day there will be peace (which there won't be), it will be the same day that a country like Pak would effectively cease to exist. That said, there is another dedicated thread for discussion on Pakistan, will continue there. Let's come back to BD.
