Sinking State of Bangladesh: Idiotic Musings

Why should we ban exports? Honestly? We're making money, they're losing it. Hilsa isn't some hi-tech product who's tech secrets could get compromised in India. Makes no sense for us to be indulging in such Maldives-KangIu tier childish behaviour.

Or we can get the fish ourselves and they have no fish.

We cant get hilsa in bengal. Because us desi bengalis have destroyed the hilsa industry at home by fishing ' kucho eelish'. Ie, the young ones migrating back to the sea after hatching. Hilsa isnt fished in the oceans, its fished like salmon, in the rivers when it comes back to migrate, except unlike salmon, we dont really have ability to aqua-culture hilsa.
There is an old bengali tradition of not eating eelish between kali puja and Saraswati puja that was followed till the last 15-20 years. Turns out this period ( nov-feb) is when the young ones hatch and grow in size as they migrate back to the seas. Bangladesh, despite being kalgustan, has kept this tradition alive. Hence Bangladesh eelish is the king of the market.

PS: There is eelish that goes up Mahanadi and parts of Andhra as well. but they are much less oily than the ilish that come to the ganges and the taste of the eelish is all in the oilyness of the fish. I dunno why or how that is, but basically most bengalis and odias would rather not eat eelish than eat mahanadi/godavari eelish ( 5% the taste at 75% the price point) and usually those are sold in low-mid level dhaaba-restaurant in west bengal (where you can cover up the shittiness of the eeelish by either making it flamethrower hot curry or burying it in enough mustard that all you can feel is the wind whistling in your sinuses.

Enjoy Naya Kangladesh 🤣

Adani needs to cut bijli, so that they can blame India freely

Bangladesh has cleared 1.37 billion U.S. dollars in bimonthly payments with the Asian Clearing Union (ACU), an arrangement for settling payments for intra-regional transactions among its members.

After the ACU payment, Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves reached 19.46 billion dollars as per calculations based on the International Monetary Fund's Balance of Payment Manual 6 as of Sept. 8, according to the latest data of the Bangladesh Bank, the country's central bank.

So Adani go his dues hopefully
What do you mean "hopefully"? They have to pay, they have no choice. If sovereign nation state defaults on payment to a company from another country or refuses to pay it, then it will get no investment from others. Kanglus think they are some wondershit, but what they do not know is they are living at the mercy of India when it comes to water, electricity, and food. And living at the mercy of EU who is giving them GSP status. Cut all those things off, they will be begging for survival.

Selective payments can be defaulted from certain countries while for some payments can go through if US financial system in backing country

if our estimate of yunous is right, what is he likely to do?

he would probably contact his handlers in the west and advisors in kolkata and delhi lutyens on what to do with adani payment, since all of them are part of the same silo, same whatsapp groups, read same opeds and news papers, they are likely to advise him to lean towards "eff around" because for them agenda is more important.

if this is the trajectory they choose to take, then what follows is "find out".
if not, there is still hope for BD.

Doesn't work that way. Regardless of US financial systems backing, multinationals will STILL see this as govt default on payment to a private corp and will massively reduce confidence in investment in BD.
Because even IF i am a yankee corp, why the hell will i take the rist of going and whining to my govt that i am not being paid by BD land and do something' ?
