So the entire banking sector in the $450 billion asian tiger economy makes less than $5 billion in revenues?

Has a retail and wholesale sector of just $27 billion in size?

Of which basic FMCG consumption is just $3.6 billion?

Domestic clothing consumption just $3 billion?

There's got to be something fishy with their PCI figures too if their GDP nominal figures are fudged which we know to be a fact & consumption figures & patterns are abysmally low.

I'm sure corresponding figures for Paxtan are higher in spite of their current plight . @crazywithmath

They fudge everything - from economic surveys to GDP data to household surveys to censuses. Even the IMF/WB wallahs know this but keep quiet regardless because it is not their job to cross verify members (unless shit hits the fan). This is a 'legacy' of the Hasina regime btw, they weren't always like this.

These scamsters regularly fudge their exports as well. Actual exports were $40B, but reported as $51B. which is almost a 30% difference. And they do it every year

And even their corrected figures are most likely off because of their unstable currency.

Yes, in terms of GDP if we look at it... Paki electricity consumption, automobile production, goods and services exports, retail sales, tax revenue, corporate revenues and even remittances as a whole among others is more than bangladesh. Haven't cared enough to do a per capita nonsense but them claiming to have a $100 billion edge over pakis who already have absolutely fake GDP numbers was an even stupid move which kanglus played thinking no one will notice.

Like India-China have 5x difference in GDP, and that reflects very well in electricity consumption, retail sales, automobile production, goods and services exports, corporate revenues, steel and cement production, banking and insurance sector etc where gap remains an around 5x difference in most cases or some sectors having slightly larger gap and some have bit lower. But on average it is like that. One can do the same for India and other countries where there will be similar differences and there'll be things to compensate for shortcomings/edge in areas of differences. Unlike pakis and kanglus lying wholesale about their GDP and other stats by a margin of 300 to 400% (claiming GDP to be only 8-9x times less than India while on average being 30 to 40 times worse irl).

Last I checked their steel production was 5.2 million tonnes and it's like almost 28 times less than India.

Except some kanglu claiming 8 mn tonnes production which is actually consumption.
Saar we should stop comparing these numbers, honestly it's embarrassing for us to even discuss about this with these "swamp dwelling, balls loosing while fence jumping kanglus"

Yes, but point above was their fake statistics not willie measuring contest.

Seems like even their health indicators are fudged. I thought at least this will be accurate, but Bangladesh's infant mortality has been rising every year for the last 5 years. Infant mortality rate has risen from 21 deaths per 1000 births in 2019, to 25 in 2022 and 27 in 2023. Neonatal mortality rose from 15 in 2019 to 20 in 2023. Unless there is a secret famine happening in kangluland, the odds of this rising even well after covid is extremely low, due to continuous advancement in medicine and child care (even failed african stats don't usually report such high increases in infant mortality unless there is a famine or war). And of course somehow, their life expectancy barely decreased despite a 25% increase in infant mortality.

As usual, what is likely happening is that BBS was cooking stats out of their ass. Their methodology is probably improving each year to give a more realistic figure
