Sinking State of Bangladesh: Idiotic Musings

I been thinking about chunus's statement last few hours and this is the conclusion I came up with -

These sort of "guardian of ocean" delulu statements (what ever that means) come from 2 types of people - Type 1. Idi Amin-hubris level people or Type 2. Biden-senile level people.
This chunus seems to be the second type, and he's being fed this nonsense by those "advisors" (barely educated student "leaders" with almost no real understanding and knowledge of how national and international politics work but being thrust into the national stage in such manner they seem to have literally gone the Idi Amin hubris route).
And chunus is regurgitating whatever nonsense he's being fed.

We have both these type 1 and type 2 delulus in al-kanglu-al-swamp-al-desh.
We all know what happened when these two types were in power in their respective countries.
Idi Amin drove his country into the ground, Biden nearly made US laughing stock of the world - he was lucky he had some level of functioning government systems and organizations in place that mitigated his disastrous presidency, all-kanglu-all-swamp-al-desh's chunus doesn't have the luxury that Biden did.

Yunus is an American plant who is now caught up between Old Hasina guards and new revolutionary student types who are increasingly mad about him failing.

He is making these statements to divert. Nothing more.

I don't know, he doesn't strike that politically smart to me to be able to deflect the pressure by coming up with such statements. He's being fed these ideas and statements.

One with people need to understand is there is a very critical and frankly funny flaw in china's master plan to replace west as the power center of the globe, that is how good their allies are . When America begun its journey towards world domination , it had allies like UK, France, West Germany, not to praise them but when you compared them to kind of allies China has Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, etc you can see why there is such a big difference.

Reality is none of these countries and their ruler can in anyway ever result in China becoming a legitimate global superpower , no superpower grows through allies like these. Pakistan is a nation whose fate is to be destroyed , there is no other future for it, it for China and west to decide how long they will keep the life support on for Pakistan. CCP is delusional if they think these so called allies are in any way useful.

Hope this hurts Bangladesh more than India.

Even worse for Kanglus is if India gets free trade agreements and MFN status passed in the EU and UK this year.

Definitely. Kanglu's biggest garment importer is Amreeka. This is real bad, like pretty much a death knell for their textile industry. Yunus is probably shitting his pants right now.

Don't worry he now has warehouses full of chaddis to pick a new one from, now that amreeka's tarrifs means less exports from al-chaddis-al-baniyans-al-cope-desh.

This is where Modi needs to play ball with Trump & capitalise on enhanced trade & tech deals with the US especially since the whole world will be retaliating with reciprocal tariffs.

More than BD , I'm very intrigued by the sanctions on Vietnam. Evidently the US has cottoned on to the game plan of the Han of white branding products in Vietnam.

Wonder what it is like for the rest of the ASEAN countries where Chinese industries are shifting base left right & center , to escape being caught in the Sino US trade wars.

It is also due to what tariff the other country is imposing on the US. Vietnam currently has a 90% tariff on US imports. Insane. India imposes a 52% tariff on US imports (Bangladesh imposes 74%, Pakistan imposes 58%).

Trump is going half way rather than 1-1 in his retaliation.

Bangladesh’s Desperate Bid to Rebuild Ties with India

Please Modi do not meet Mohammad Yunus at BIMSTEC meet. Don’t even shake hands with him, although he is making a desperate attempt to restore relations with India. He made one great mistake to irritate India. He, as if he owns the India’s seven land locked states in the North East asked China to come and grab them. Pakistani ISI probably advised the same as ISI Director General was in Bangladesh advised them the same. Chinese are fully aware of the implication will ‘phoo - phoo’ the offer and they are trying to mend their own relations with India but I am sure were amused. Yunus does not realize that if with Pakistani aid he tries to close the Siliguri corridor then India could move 80 miles from Manipur south to Bay of Bengal and close off and capture the Chitagong port, Bangladesh’s only large part. No power on this earth can force India to vacate it. All the Muslim population from the area to be ejected and Hindu population brought here to populate it. The scenario is bad for Bangladesh but Yunus with Islamist advice is following their agenda.

However, New Delhi is maintaining a firm stance and refusing to engage until key conditions are met:

1. Hold free and fair elections to restore democracy and allow Sheikh Hasina to return and contest.

2. Release the Hindu priest who was recently arrested.

3. Clear all outstanding energy payments owed to India.

4. Honour all communication and transit agreements—most of which benefit Bangladesh through transit fees.

5. Remove ISI-linked personnel from the Army and other security services.

Yunus is rapidly losing control. Fearing a Pakistan-backed coup, he is scrambling to secure India’s support. Even his former ally, the Army chief, has turned against him—disillusioned by Yunus’s increasing tilt toward Islamist forces aligned with Pakistan.

If Yunus fails to secure India’s backing, it is almost certain that junior, radicalized elements within the army will seize the opportunity to stage a coup. At this point, only India holds the leverage to prevent Bangladesh from descending into chaos and to preserve what remains of its democratic structure.

Yet, India has made it clear: there will be no handshake without concrete action and firm assurances on the conditions laid out above.
