The most obvious way to resolve issues with the INSAS is to simplify it by :View attachment 29070
This model was made to fix the problems, but by that time the design itself was outdated.
And army still didn't believe in OFB( I can understand in this case) for manufacturing.
The sources also said Pakistan had sent in a proposal to buy a consignment of 50,000 AK series of assault rifles in an attempt to deepen military ties with Russia. The sources, however, did not mention the particular model sought by the neighboring country.
https://theprint.in/defence/russia-...s-assures-india-of-no-deals-in-future/264004/They also added that the Russian top leadership has assured India of no such military cooperation with Pakistan – an assurance which came after India raised its concerns with Moscow this year.
VSK-100 assault rifle is produced using parts and know-how, supplied to Belarus by a Russian company VPO Molot. In fact, a VSK-100 assault rifle is a select-fire, military-only modification of the semi-automatic “Vepr” carbine, produced in Russia by VPO Molot for civilian sales.
https://modernfirearms.net/en/assault-rifles/belarus-assault-rifles/vsk-100-2/The VSK-100 assault rifle is manufactured in Republic of Belarus by the “Kidma-tec” Ltd. It was officially adopted by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus in 2021 and is now issued to various units in Belarusian military.

That and Russkies get a cut. Plus some raw materials for the first batch of guns were imported. What makes Ak-203s cost 1100 USD? The fit and finish seems to be miles ahead of any other Ak we are using though.Does that include the initial cost of setting up of factory too?
Didn't they all transition to the KAC rifle?View attachment 29167

German spec ops went from G36A2 to HK 433 in 20 years. We're still operating Tavors. In fact German spec ops changed their primary intermediate rifle 5 times in the past 20 years.Oh good choice.
SEK in Germany had SIG MCX as primary, and now they have or are in the process or transitioning to HK 433 as primary. MP5s use will end and MCXs will be armoury princess/training/backup weapons.
Infact G95 is now going to be the standard infantry weapon starting 2026, reserves will move to G36k and Mg4/5s, and Heimatschutz companies will retain older G36A2 models and MG3/MG4s.German spec ops went from G36A2 to HK 433 in 20 years. biggest mistake these kraut enginijjers did with G36 design was to building it up with polymer receiver in mind, then literally integrating a metallic steel alloy barrel extension straight into its polymer upper receiverGerman spec ops went from G36A2 to HK 433 in 20 years. Happens during training too. Trust me I know!when the gun goes hot after continuous firing, barrel starts warping and being a free-floating rifle it starts loosing zero,
and yet they attempted to cover it with "Nein, Gewehr ist in Ordnung!" type clarifications from the military and governmentHappens during training too. Trust me I know!
