PKP-SP the most advanced PK variant.Just like fashion weapon designs too seems to be going in circles. PKP-SP too has fluted barrels like those in original PKs.PKMs and later PKPs didn’t had fluted barrels to reduce weight.Also unlike a PKP the SP variant has bipod under gas tube and not under the far end of barrel

Nowdays most of the products unweiled in US gun markets are just gimmicky ones with not much practical use.
