Its rating is about 2.42 out of 5 in the NDTV poll which is below the halfway mark.
 
So what should be the ideal tax brackets in this country according to everyone. Ans what other thing was expected from this budget that have been missed.

I should be other way round. They are crying that BJP copied their schemes as their schemes were better than BJP.

This is not a full budget. Why are people so excited about it? The full budget is in next year Feb 2025. Some of you expecting some tax breaks have 2 options to choose. Either you get a tax break with high inflation or no tax break with less inflation. In the end GoI has to make up for the difference somewhere, and where do you think they do that? Borrowing your money from Banks ofcourse.

I expect only less subsidies and more capital expenditure from every budget. I don't expect tax breaks which I know never happens and is not practical anyway. If GoI runs a balanced budget that itself for me a huge tax break.
 
Bad for people like me.. Hikee in short and long term cap gain tax, Increased STT and chance for further more increased!

Though good for elderly pensioners ....( someone in my family is bit happier though. like crores like same around the country)

Some one next to my blood ( like <.1 % of population who are considered upper middle class) is literally furious as why he/she has to bare all the burden of 'annadatas' who are enjoying M-G-Wagon with no taxes, while he/she has nothing much to gain with 14 hr day works!


Mixed feelings... but my thoughts are--- government is trying to make the base for further robust economic boost.

No increase in ISRO budget.. my father is so angry. He says he pays taxes for tech and advancements, better college infrastructure, missions like CY-3, not ladli beti yojna or free bus services for women. All of this is making indians a bigger freeloader day by day. People are so used to free things that they are not even ready to work and expect basically free money from tax payers pockets. Poor are eyeing middle class income instead of getting educated and becoming middle class themselves

Unfortunately India has a lot of dehatis and semi- literate youth. These are fundamental and structural problems, only a dictator can solve these problems.

In my opinion income up to 15 lakhs per annum should be tax free and after you tax everyone including the farmers. Secondly, there should be tax on actual income and not notional income.

The only way for that Rn is to pursue a MS degree abroad.. a middle class citizen (earning between 8-14LPA) will need anywhere between (45-65L) for 2 years MS program and only then, he can expect a job. And then forget most of your savings for health, house, car, property nothing. The prices are increasing every day.. a mere health surgery will take away 10L from your pockets.. property prices are rising but incomes are dropping in pvt sector.. govt isn't providing jobs. This country is a shithole

Very true, owning a flat in Mumbai with a salary is next to impossible unless you are one of those .1% who earn 50 lac and above. A small flat in Kandivali about one hour from proper Mumbai which we call Town or south Mumbai is one cr and above.

If you are a salaried person and earing 50 lac per annum, you'll still not be able to afford it because of TDS. The only way they can do that is if they have a side hustle and get income in cash.
