Union Budget

I can get people getting frustrated with certain scenarios but I wont ever trust a nigga who 1st response to every problem that comes is to run away from the country. No wonder muzzies are taking over our lands.

Guys ,I am leaving this forum permanently. Just focus on earning money and leave this country forever. Had a great time interacting with you all.
Even I need some guidance regarding study abroad and to secure job there
Do we have any thread for career related discussions

The only way for that Rn is to pursue a MS degree abroad.. a middle class citizen (earning between 8-14LPA) will need anywhere between (45-65L) for 2 years MS program and only then, he can expect a job. And then forget most of your savings for health, house, car, property nothing. The prices are increasing every day.. a mere health surgery will take away 10L from your pockets.. property prices are rising but incomes are dropping in pvt sector.. govt isn't providing jobs. This country is a shithole
Yes mate I am seeing a lot of people taking a lot of hardships to send their children to Europe or America for MS post engineering
Spending 50-60 lakhs is very impossible for middle class family and taking loan for it will be another headache as most of ur money which u will earn after MS will go there thus situation turning worse
But still no other option
Better to do job here for 2-3 years do some savings and then move towards MS

Tier 2 NITs and IITs are having 50% placement rate in CSE forgot about other branches bro... we study so hard, in college there is shit infrastructure, they stuff 4-5 students in one smelly room with bunk beds, no personal space for studies, 3 decades old broken chairs and tables, no attached bathrooms, shitty daal roti food in mess 4 times a week, exams are written like they have some deal with devil to not let a guy obtain 8.5+ CGPA at any cost.. and after all that when placements start, the hard reality hits.. those who took core branches get no companies to hire them, now they either have to again fuck their lives to Crack gate to get into PSUs or transition to IT branches for mere 15-20k per month.. from tier 2 college broo, where 22 lakhs student give exam and few thousands select. Those of us who had dreams to work on jet engines are washed down a drain. Mtech isn't worth it anymore, MS in india is shit, PhD is too long, kare to kya kare. At the end when all roads close, the only option left is to take loan hoping everything will turn out good. I won't let my parents take stress, even if you get job, you won't be able to earn for first 4-5 years and we have to take our parents too.

My Portfolio went red for 1 hour and now back in green again.
Share Market works in mysterious way!
same here, I am well invested in IT, that saved my green today!!!

FMCG part was disastrous... at start , but it mysteriously recovered from lower circuit almost..

bact to budget...
did anyone notice-- FM uttered 'Social Justices and inequalities ' Thats a big red flag.. moreover its now encouraging specifically women to own property by special tax discount owning property/ go more to work ( boss babe?).
That's good for financial independence for an individual though, but , will further break family bonding and stress related breakups( it has been historically and data wise multiple times shown that women reacts way ill-judged and fast when put under excessively stressed situation ). Are we going West way of social justice?

In one hand we are trying to be gender-neutral ! while in other hand we are giving unjustified weightage for women specially while fully neglecting men's side. That will further increase social inequality.

Dude,Even to pursue an MS abroad, you need a property of equivalent value to a mortgage.
And to buy a property in India, even in a Tier-2 city, one needs to be wealthy, not middle class.
The day before yesterday, I attended the house inauguration of a college friend. His flat, located far from the city, cost a whopping 95 lakhs.

Apka really sapna tha jet engine main Kam karne ka
Yaha pe automobile ke engines aur transmission nahi ban rahe I mean most of them are tech imported from foreign and built here nil contribution towards indigenous development of above systems aur apko jet engines ke sapne hai
Even in IT situation is terrible this year pathetic placements in good colleges as u mentioned
Mere seniors toh bol rahe 1st year se hi depression main chale jao 4th Tak adat ho jayega
Agar apke pas pese hai toh MS chale jao
Agar hota toh pvt main MBBS nahi padh lete

If u don't mind how much does ur friend earn
95 lakhs flat is huge

For India the most important thing is making sure there are enough jobs in the market and that needs to be the priority being taken care of.

Which means need more business doing innovation and more manufacturing. Right now the middle class is very tiny for any government to take us seriously.

Treat agriculture as a business to for income above 15 lakhs.
Corporate profits have gone up - record numbers in some instances - but job hirings haven't been keeping pace since the last 3-4 years. Govt talked about this just yday. They keep lowering corporate taxes though without either growth In jobs or trying to put more money in salaried taxpayers hands.

If you are thinking about doing MS in US with a budget of 45-65L for 2 years, then you are living in a fools paradise. Maybe that budget is enough to study in a no name University but don't expect any jobs after your graduation. It is already difficult enough to get a job with a good University in your CV and to think anyone will consider you over others who have studied in a far better University is dreaming too much. That being said you can always explore other countries in Europe where Masters degree won't burn a hole in your pocket. However, you have to contend with less opportunities and language issues depending on the country and the course you choose.

With regards to Health, who is stopping you from buying an Health insurance? Doesn't insurance come under standard deductions? Assuming you are going for base cover of 30 Lakhs for your entire family, then I guess something close to 50,000 INR per year cover is required which comes under standard deductions. Government isn't going to and should not provide jobs. That is not they are elected for. Learn to be financial responsible and try to explore whether you can have other sources of income. Come out of your comfort zone.

Lack of skills.
It takes more than 1 year to train people to do a job.
Companies prefer to burden existing employees with extra work and sometimes give bonuses just to save that 1 year of investment.

You mean 80c?
Standard deduction is fixed one and doesn't change.
Also 80c has limit of 150k so investment of 50k over insurance will not leave enough room for other investments.

Cost of living crisis is a whole other kettle of fish in most parts of the west right now. Don't let the frustration from a budget get the better of you.
