I'm not convinced this thing has 600mm RHA frontally under 30 tons. At best it should resist 30mm APDS frontally.
So all around 360 only Stanag 2 .. is like making it open for Army's rejection later. They wont buy on add on armor capability if anyIt is from RFP
Yes adding additional on armour is supported most likely. Isn't worth it to be skipped.
ERA too.
Wait for some confirmation not some twitter guy Very untrusted source. So all around 360 only Stanag 2 .. is like making it open for Army's rejection later. They wont buy on add on armor capability if any
After drishti and Stryker I believe nothingSprut to gayo
Wo paper ka tank iske saamne paani bharta hai.
Max is 27.5 ton so no problem. As per RFPAfter drishti and Stryker I believe nothing
This beauty is definitely more than 25 tonnes thus giving army chances of rejection
stanag 2 lmao it definatly isnt that the turret is rated for stanag 5 (25mm apfsds )So all around 360 only Stanag 2 .. is like making it open for Army's rejection later. They wont buy on add on armor capability if any
I was thinking the same thing but didn’t say it loitering munitions make much more sense than ATGM on a modern light tank as it can fire the later through the main gun

Requirements also had loitering munitions it would be weird if they do not present the tank with any of the requirement no?the rpf has said 800mm dop from the atgm i dont think any 105mm atgm is there which can be cannon fired and gives 800mm dop
probably the atgm would be lahat (israeli) and someting like this https://uvisionuav.com/loitering-munitions/hero-120/ loitering munitionRequirements also had loitering munitions it would be weird if they do not present the tank with any of the requirement no?

drones these days are very good yaar some are getting fixed with good srd and links it increased the cost but if you are doing anti tank roles it would still be much cheaper than an atgm or at par with it but with much longer rangeThe samho is the only barrel launched atgm available which is 120mm in dia.
I would say that cannister is multi compatible given its sights which can look upto very long distance this tank can even exploit nag atgm.
I would say it might if not nag atgm could be mpatgm. As size limitation could be there.
But in today's warfare if jamming is there this drone are useless.. otherwise could boost situational awareness alot.
Yeah that's the only atgm which has 105mm dia Variant.probably the atgm would be lahat (israeli) and someting like this https://uvisionuav.com/loitering-munitions/hero-120/ loitering munition
Drones are very easy to jamm. I will say still in Himalayan region they won't function properly(jammers).drones these days are very good yaar some are getting fixed with good srd and links it increased the cost but if you are doing anti tank roles it would still be much cheaper than an atgm or at par with it but with much longer range
I am happy atleast 59 tanks are confirmedMax is 27.5 ton so no problem. As per RFP
Even if it is 28,29 won't be much of a problem.
Army has no other option.
Or may be we will start hearing similar news like striker regarding m10 booker
New jv with adani
But then no other tank fulfils IA requirements
Like anti drone systems , drone launchers.
Etc etc most important the weight
There is no competitor in same weight.
So still I believe they won't reject it.
Already they gave margin of 10% which means 27.5 to. Won't be a problem.
I don't think drdo saars are so dumb to make it heavier than that.
The light tank was delayed due to delay in obtaining licence for German MTU MT 881 Ka-500 V8 engine.
Good thing the Germans have come to their senses due to strategic developments in their neighborhood. (Or due to the lucrative p75 I deal)
