Is there a major American connection to KTM? That guy sounds very American, as opposed to Austrian. There is nothing particularly anti India about his comments. If a Brazilian, Mexican or South Korean company took over KTM, much the same things would be said, you figure.Yes. The cope and seethe is so fucking sweet.
All over the internet now, lol.
Frankly felt same way when Nomura took over Ranbaxy, Pepsi took over gold spot thumbs up brands looking time back. Or once known popular brands closed when China starting dumping things.. I used to wonder will there be a time India companies taking over western business? Is there a major American connection to KTM? That guy sounds very American, as opposed to Austrian. Initially Nomura did most of the lifting.Nomura did not acquire Ranbaxy tho, Sun Pharma did.
maybe the babus are getting serious now and persuading indian pvt companies to acquire as much phoren companies as possible, the chowmein way, first get them, take their r&d efforts, get it to bharat, increase the phoren companies manufacturing presence here, sell them at a profit - boom you become a global giant from bharat's backyards![]()

this will be an insane coup by Motherson group if true. Marelli is a massive auto company with a deep portfolio of R&D
Mahindra/Tata should be encouraged to buy out Nissan if Japanese permit. Even Volkswagen should be targetted or at least parts of itmaybe the babus are getting serious now and persuading indian pvt companies to acquire as much phoren companies as possible, the chowmein way, first get them, take their r&d efforts, get it to bharat, increase the phoren companies manufacturing presence here, sell them at a profit - boom you become a global giant from bharat's backyards
One thing that tata hasnt completed is shifting of manufacturing of high quality, high precision machinery of JLR from brit to indiaMahindra/Tata should be encouraged to buy out Nissan if Japanese permit. Even Volkswagen should be targetted or at least parts of it
One particular guy laughed at the suggestion that Tata/Mahindra should buy out Volkswagen or Nissan if their respective governments permit and infact Indian government should nudge these companies for that.Mahindra/Tata should be encouraged to buy out Nissan if Japanese permit. Even Volkswagen should be targetted or at least parts of it
Quality control needs to definitely be upped for sure, especially in case of Tata. Tata has failed to bring production of JLR in India, or manufacture its own proper engines. One thing that tata hasnt completed is shifting of manufacturing of high quality, high precision machinery of JLR from brit to india
Mahindra is going global with south africa, australia and latinamerica, thanks to formula e, they are getting good marketting
They need to hire good mechanical and electrical engineers and give good pay, then nurture the current crop of bdes automobile designers
As for companies like beml, kalyani, ashok leyland, force motors should get some subsidies to compete in commercial segment in phoren lands
Quality control is still a problem, electronics getting burnt up withing 3 months of purchase, panel gaps, weak welding joints etc, 5 * safety isnt everything, reliability is a necessary thing, toyota and honda mastered it
Honda's engines are no doubt one of the finest, toyota is the most reliable, hilux is peak example
Our engine research and manufacturing needs to be upped, i hope we have some visionaries in this segment
