Finally took the full control of KTM bros by Bajaj.

Now get those 590cc twin cylinder back on track we need an 5-6L twin cylinder 60-70HP Mid weight bike in India.

The downside is Bajaj being Bajaj sometimes dilute the shit of it brand. They done this mess in Pulsars, Discovers and Dominars. Till today absolute clusterfuck in model lineup.

Pulsar should have been 150cc entry brand. Discover should always target the 110c and 125cc. Platina, CT100 for 100cc. But no Bajaj messed up so much we saw discover brand removed, Pulsar become 125, Introduced Dominar when People were asking for Pulsar 400cc. Created an mess with NS, F series. Destroyed the Avengers Brand also.

Shame on you Bajaj for this screwups.

Yes. The cope and seethe is so fucking sweet.

All over the internet now, lol.
Is there a major American connection to KTM? That guy sounds very American, as opposed to Austrian. There is nothing particularly anti India about his comments. If a Brazilian, Mexican or South Korean company took over KTM, much the same things would be said, you figure.

indian companies do have a serious issue, includes tvs, tata, mahindra, bajaj, hero, etc

their servicing is shit, their service centre guys think that the company gave the people the car for free, and its their birth right, fundamental duty to harass customers

i hope bajaj ktm can improve this issue and so all the indian moto companies improve and go global

and ktm acquisition gives bajaj opportunity to sell its bestsellers at a reasonable price in markets which are controlled by chinki chowmeins, pulsar, dominar, avenger and its scooters like chetak can dominate the market, in turn benefitting indian exports

Frankly felt same way when Nomura took over Ranbaxy, Pepsi took over gold spot thumbs up brands looking time back. Or once known popular brands closed when China starting dumping things.. I used to wonder will there be a time India companies taking over western business?

Anyway Bajaj is not the first one to do so and hope is not the last one and hope many more Indian companies rise to occasion.

Bajaj needs more creativity and model consistency in their fleet. I hope they introduce an adv bike using 410 twin cylinder which ktm gave to cfmoto for its 410 bike.

this will be an insane coup by Motherson group if true. Marelli is a massive auto company with a deep portfolio of R&D

maybe the babus are getting serious now and persuading indian pvt companies to acquire as much phoren companies as possible, the chowmein way, first get them, take their r&d efforts, get it to bharat, increase the phoren companies manufacturing presence here, sell them at a profit - boom you become a global giant from bharat's backyards

Mahindra/Tata should be encouraged to buy out Nissan if Japanese permit. Even Volkswagen should be targetted or at least parts of it

One thing that tata hasnt completed is shifting of manufacturing of high quality, high precision machinery of JLR from brit to india
Mahindra is going global with south africa, australia and latinamerica, thanks to formula e, they are getting good marketting
They need to hire good mechanical and electrical engineers and give good pay, then nurture the current crop of bdes automobile designers
As for companies like beml, kalyani, ashok leyland, force motors should get some subsidies to compete in commercial segment in phoren lands

Quality control is still a problem, electronics getting burnt up withing 3 months of purchase, panel gaps, weak welding joints etc, 5 * safety isnt everything, reliability is a necessary thing, toyota and honda mastered it
Honda's engines are no doubt one of the finest, toyota is the most reliable, hilux is peak example
Our engine research and manufacturing needs to be upped, i hope we have some visionaries in this segment

One particular guy laughed at the suggestion that Tata/Mahindra should buy out Volkswagen or Nissan if their respective governments permit and infact Indian government should nudge these companies for that.

Beaware of the current state of Auto market. Be informed rather than being someone who laughs because of his own ignorance. See the current market cap of Nissan, a company which has remained in top ten car manufacturers list for so long. Even see Volswagen which is twenty times larger compared to Mahindra in revenue, but see the current state of market cap due to changing market scenario.

Japanese and German car manufacturing is in doldrums in post ICE world. It is China all the way followed by heavy lifting for America being done by Tesla. After that race is well upon and decks will quickly change over the next decade. What has been traditional for last many decades will change. Germans especially mastered ICE with high quality parts suppliers, but in EV case, the stage has been set even.

And while I am writing all this, Indian company Samvardhan Motherson is already in early process to buy Marelli (12~13 billion dollars worth revenue), automotive parts supplier giant, which mostly supplied to Nissan.

Quality control needs to definitely be upped for sure, especially in case of Tata. Tata has failed to bring production of JLR in India, or manufacture its own proper engines.
