why doesnt the su57 have radar absorbing paint like f22, f35, j20 and j35 and other grey paint aircrafts have? did vodkaland make some materials advancement that they can have colorful paints which have good absorbing capability
Their paint is reportedly is of power quality but bigger concern is the design itself which is not stealthy by any means.

Much stealthier than anything we have in our inventory.
Multiple reports and studies peg it around 0.5, more than enough to achieve our objectives.

People talk it down like we have a fuck ton of super stealthy alternatives.😂

With an r37m, it can take down Paki aircraft from well within our territory anyway.

Enough for ground attack missions near the loc/IB too.

For wvr engagements, there is nothing more maneuverable out there.

Its our best and more importantly, our ONLY option.

Unless you think a Rafale with a full external payload will do great against 5th gen fighters, lighting up in their radars like a beacon.

yeah, the engine fan blades are exposed and the intake outer side has 90 degree angle which will reflect a lot of incoming waves
AL-51F1 is supposed to fix that problem to an extent.

At current time even su30mki is better choice than rafale so su57 will indeed be a beast as long as we get same freedom we have with su 30.

Except for spectra rafale doesn't seems to have anything that mki can't offer, bramhos ng will put scalp missile to dust.

So, Yanks won't sell F 35, won't let India buy Su 57 or else CAATSA, won't let us build our own by blocking engine sales....

Looks like only way India can have Fifth gen fighter before 2040 is buying one from China itself. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (Kidding, koi serious samajh ke replay mat Dene lag jana, lol).

We can buy from Russia just not using dollars

Wouldn't that still require a CAATSA waiver, unless of course the Ukraine war is sorted out before then?
Burgericans won't just hand in the waiver.
However if we just buy the tech and make it locally, chances of sanctions are very less.
No other option is there anyways, engine supply is gone and rafale of typhoon are not worth it

Yanks haven't blocked engine sales, it's the shear genius of IAF to wait and wait and wait while thinking private companies will wait for them to shut down their factories after all orders are complete and it is no longer feasible to run them for small future orders. Same happened with C-17, ERJ-145, and even Mirage-2000-V5 during MMRCA days, they waited until they no longer could. They did same with LCA Tejas orders till the time GEF404 ran out of production, an engine IAF picked by own choice. Same isn't the case with F414, it has plenty of orders, and we want to produce them here under license.

AMCA isn't going to be true 5th gen even when it rolls out, without DAS, EOTS and ability to supercruise. Better is to invest in anti-stealth equipment for early detection and destruction of enemy stealth fighters.

Mk2 would be true 5th gen for sure, many parts havent matured enough for direct use. That's why it would come in mk2

Maybe do read the fineprint of the article before starting an endless rant.

Just sign that G2G for like 72 Rafales already.

"Every company goes through its fair share of criticisms. It does happen. Unfortunately, in the case of LCA Mark 1A, we have built the aircraft. As of today, we have six aircraft lined up," he said.
"But the engine deliveries have not happened from GE Aerospace. They were to deliver the engines in 2023. Till date, we have got only one engine," he added.

According to Sunil, the technical issues with GE Aerospace have been sorted out and HAL is set to receive 12 jet engines by March 2026.
"I can assure you that as of today, six aircraft are ready. There is no let up from our side. We are building those aircraft and getting them ready and we will be in a position to deliver (by this fiscal)," he said.

The GE engine supply chain issues aren't going to be resolved anytime soon

I don't think Doland is doing it. Just that the engine facility was shut down due to no orders and had to be restarted for our IAF. So the supply chain issues will persist due to not ordering Mk1A on time.

They have saar.
We are only getting excuses from GE

>W-we had to restart the factory
>COVID supply chain issues

Doland is a deep state puppet

This is a continuation of the engine denial from Biden era.

In the first 2 years of Biden-raaj they were not giving Indians visas to the US in the same way, nothing was openly said but this was what they were doing.

Anyway nothing wrong with a snake biting, it is it's nature

The problem is our clowns being unserious about everything from Tejas to AMCA.

If they were serious they'd have contingencies or would have just gone with the good ole AL-31FP atleast for future projects.

But no, America ke saamne mujra karne me maza aata hai inko

Like I said just sign the deal for Rafale.

At this point, I think the 97 additional Tejas MK1A jets should be upgraded with canards, a retractable refueling probe, and a new cockpit similar to the Tejas MK2. Delays are inevitable anyway due to engine supply chain issues.

G2G deals are double edged sword tbh. That's why govt isn't interested in it after our sour experience with the 2 squadron of Rafale purchased through G2G. MRFA is the way to go for them. They can do hagling by threatening to pick the competition there. More chance of successfully performing pressure tactics to make the french 🥖 offer us better deal as per our terms. Waise ana to rafale ko hh hai jaise bhi.

You are very much aware of how much we have been scammed by the 🥖 through the last G2G deal.

If we are getting just 6, how much time will they take to deliver rest 75 jets?
Given that ge even delivers any engine.
GE is supposed to deliver 2 engine next month.
