AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft

AMCA is turning out to be a big failure in making, Indian dependence on western and by extension Israel and East Asians machining tools is turning out to be a hole too big to fill.

In few years IAF will start crying for F-35 no matter the consequences.

Machine tools dependency?

What is this new phenomena.

Has weekly randi-rona started again? AMCA is in fabrication, it was given CCS Approval like few months ago. Stop Premature Doomerism.

We already have multiple Indian OEMs making most of the CNC machines here. Though cost is an issue but not having the tech is no more one.

On the contrary because of all the aviation related work we're involved in, we're getting more tech that can be used further by other industries too

Do we have domestic 5axis or 6 axis cnc machines?

It's been almost 5-6 years since Indian firms have started manufacturing 6-axis machines. (Though it's 5 that matters the most, from 6 it's more on the gimmick side...but still).
It's been more than a decade since we're getting 5-axis machines here in India.
And it's even more than that since when we started to get Indian subsidiaries of foreign CNC giants here in India.

Nope not a single assembled machine in India is of quality that is required for zero error alignment required for advanced aerospace components…

India is dependent on all core components for assembly of an advanced machining tools.

CNC Controllers
Ball Screws
Linear Guides
Servo Motors
Drives
Spindles
Sensors
Encoders…

USA has ensured we dont get any modern tools
From above, even our strategic chips are manufactured from 2nd hand tools
Sourced indirectly from Israel and Japan

No need to be sad, eventually more localisation takes place if requirements are there thats the law of economics.

May be in couple of decades India will be able to manufacture current generation of machining tools completely inside India
That's his sarcastic comment with Jyoti CNC company logo. What info do you have about them regarding crucial parts being imported.

Whenever some one says a company manufactures a CNC machines in house in India ask google which company manufactures a CNC machines in house on planet.

Typically a CNC machine is manufactured by assembly of multiple components spread out in EU, US and Japan.

Jyoti CNC cant manufacture even a single component I listed above in house neither any other company in India.
India needs to either import 2nd hand from EU or chinese maal which is also a copy of 2nd hand maal from EU

Chat gtp's response.

"Jyoti CNC, an Indian company specializing in CNC machinery, does manufacture advanced CNC machines, including up to 5-axis models, which are suitable for industries like aerospace, defense, and automotive. Their customer base includes prominent organizations like ISRO, BrahMos Aerospace, and Tata Advanced Systems, indicating their capability to meet demanding quality requirements.

However, the company does rely on foreign suppliers for key components such as CNC controllers, ball screws, linear guides, servo motors, and spindles. Around 30% of its components, mainly electronics, are sourced from global brands like Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc. This dependency suggests that while Jyoti CNC is advancing in manufacturing and assembly, certain critical technologies and precision components are still imported"

Here from Jyoti CNC website itself:

Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd., has a wholly owned subsidiary Huron Graffenstaden SAS located at Strasbourg, France. The company is considered to be the pioneer of the 5 Axis technology and was inception in 1857. Huron is having the subsidiaries at Germany, Canada and Turkey. The first Milling Machine with the Universal Head of 5 Axis was built by Huron in the year1900 and subsequently the first CNC machine was built in the year 1958.

Basically their supplier front which sources the core components from West…

All the R&D and key components of Jyoti comes from France from a company named Huron, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of...........................................................................................................................................................................Jyoti CNC.

Before anyone brings in foreign dependency, Illuminati or Jewish Space lasers...France is an ITAR free country and one of few we can rely on in times of war.

Lol even France dont manufacture everything in house, most of their stuff also comes from their kin in west 🤣… even if you think they are reliable which they are not if push comes from their cousins in EU

Huron is having the subsidiaries at "Germany" "Canada" and "Turkey."
