600 is kind of infilated, but the number that is actively working here based upon the intercepts is kind of unnaceptable. State elections are coming 😉

Absolutely. Reality of the ground is that we are struggling against local militants. Combat isn’t determined by races. Accept that local kashmitis have gotten crafty and counter them. It’s so easy.

SSG factor has been there since 1989. Why are indian defense commentators acting like this is a new development. BAT has been going since late 90s.

With Amerika only under trump general Jaziya worked. While rest they ask choicest and very pointed things in their Jaziya. Substitution doesnt work and if it works, its super expensive than original Jaziya.

That is a big foreign policy failure if we can't even resist the sacrifice of our industry...sort of capitulation if the deal materializes

Well sometimes govt has no choice but to capitulate on something to save on other thing. As ezsasa also referred.. Blackmail sometimes does not work but sometimes you dont have any choice. This discussion is OT to thread but even in Emergency , Indira kowtowed to Western Pressure - thats why Sanjay Gandhi did the mass sterilization program. India then was often blackmailed to unthinkable things in exchange for basic aid. Its for the reason every developing country struggles hard to wean out from AID.

We are doomed thats very very big time (considering that the production deal of f414 is still isn't signed f404 is under delay of ‘YEAR’ )

Even if we induct Stryker we could still induct kestrels too but we can make f404 and f414 equivalents thats easily and at time

expounding the concepts of risk, risk mitigation and tradeoffs, is missing in our popular discourse. potential risks and tradeoffs, should be mandatory especially when discussing topics related to national security, hard power. and these days even soft power.

just because all conditions are not in our favour, doing nothing and sitting idle is not an option. plan risk mitigation strategies, and keep moving forward is the mantra.
