Electronics and Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry

Is this going to be a display fab as well
This one is being made in partnership with PSMC and it will be a Mega Semiconductor Fab and will produce different chips ranging from Power Management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic.

It is stupidity to have semiconductor fab or testing facility in Bengal. It is a border state, highly unstable with criminal goons running it's politics since last 50 years. Those criminal goons will not allow the fab to function. Stop having wild fantasies for heavens sake. Be reasonable.
Was about to write the same thing. If the idea is to distribute these fabs across India , why not consider Odisha for a presence in the Eastern half ?

Henkel's core business revolves around providing adhesive solutions essential for semiconductor packaging—an integral step in the electronics manufacturing process. The company's offerings include die-attach pastes/films, encapsulation materials, underfills, etc., which enhance the performance and durability of semiconductor devices.

The funny bit she is missing is that they have not even proposed to build a FAB, only an R&D/GCC type establishment has been 'proposed'.

Also, the posts made by MyGov does not mean much. MyGov is NOT a state sanctioned entity, their 'confirmation' means nothing.

Given the kind of incentives some states are offering it makes zero sense for a semiconductor major to set up shops in a bankrupt WB. Are any of you aware of the kind of money neighboring Odisha is offering?

MeiTY has confirmed by retweeting the post. Also, Kolkata is not equal to Waste Bengal outside it. To be in particular, the New Town areas.

I agree with your analysis that with Mamata around there is very unlikely that a large scale FAB will be built by anybody including American.

She has to learn to run the government like Tamil Nadu does and not always working for a fight with the federal government. With that knowledge, nobody will even stop by to say hello to West Bengal than to build a multi billion factory.

Dream on Mamata…… Dream on.

How likely that plant of Tata Fire is cheen sabotage. Despite that suspicion, I can't help look at our standards and even if the physical infrastructure is excellent, I can't help but speculate that one of our C-grade work ethos caused that.

it was a chemical godown in the complex that caught fire, so almost 100% certainly due to lax standards. Factories catch fire or explode every day in India due to very poor safety standards, especially around toxic chemicals and explosives.

Yeah it couldn't be even with SOP but Workers "Chalta Hai" attitude may have caused that. A lot of these things happen in China also but they cover up quickly.

The company is building teams to handle around 15 different products in parallel, and it is already halfway on that journey, he added.
Chip production here implies from some other fab. They've stated they'll set up chip fabrication plants only after achieving $1 billion revenue from their Fabless business subsidiary.

Retards misheard Hosur as "Ozhur" and didn't even bother correcting their mistake

Dream on…… set the politics in Kerala right first. TATA has been burnt in West Bengal by Mamata Banerjee. Hence, until they are sure, they will not go to a new place. Assam being an exception because the centre government and local government found the location acceptable and wished them to be there.
