One of Gujarat's medallists at the National Games 2022 belongs to the marginalised Siddi tribe. This medallist is not in Athletics, as originally predicted, but in Judo.

Archery has been the biggest disappointment for us.

We have been spending a lot on archers since over a decade but with no result.

Moreover, the players start giving excuses instead of owning their mistakes.

Deepika was given extensive training back before London Olympics of 2012. She was sent to london a month and half before the start of the games to get acclimatized with the weather. She performed badly and gave the excuse that she could not acclimatized to the weather there :frusty:

She again giving the excuse that she went through motherhood, and it was not easy for her to perform back to her strength!

These players need to be held accountable to their performance in Olympics.​

These kind of article take for granted that any Africab will have a higher chance of winning gold.

Indian National record in 100 m is already close to 10.25s and there are a dozen who can do that.
Need the coach, training and facilities.
Many players cannot perform due to constant injuries they face need doctors that can monitor and restore players to their finest as quick as possible. Other than that need coach that can teach mechanics of sprinting.
Once we cross 10 mark we have a shot at bronze at the very least.
Usain bolt was a freak of nature and his 9.56 might not be broken. The winning time is 9.90 to 9.80 currently.

In every sport record Indians best performers lag only by 3 to 5%

We have started doing lot better in track-field events now. We are doing good in 400mtr and 4x400 events.

We need a professional Coaches, Physio, Doctor and support staff specific to the sport. Currently our Archery team is without a head coach!!

Is there any specifc rule related to multiple players from same country in round of 16 ?
 
Today day with lot of positives.

1. Sen win against WR3 (Huge confidence boost) Enters into R16
2. PV Sindhu wins (Enters into R016)
2. Deepika kumari shithousing to RO16
3. Swapnil entering finals for 50M Rifle
4. Sreeja Akula and Manika batra enters into R016. (Tought draw awaiting them. But major movement in TT as first time we are entering into R)16)
