1. Are the engineers in India or are living in America? If the later then for how long?
2. Is there an American University involved in graduation or post-graduation of that engineer?
3. Is he from IT field or non-IT like anything from optics to material?
4. Is the company using them only as a cheap labour (here in India we use a slightly derogatory term for that called IT-Coolie) or there is a mutual relationship between them with both benefiting equally?

These are some of the questions that'd ultimately decide whether that talented and good engineer would become a Narinder Singh Kapany or some unknown guy debugging a program late in the night of a holiday.

Good Engineers in India struggle to create a base where Good Industries can prop up someday in future.

IMO, what we should be getting from murrica are more army related stuff. I am highly impressed with their artillery systems - even when they are expensive and shit, their effectiveness aka bang for their buck is quite high and that is what india should be focussing more amreeki maal for. Because barrels last a longass time as far as war is concerned and we can certainly make the ammo on our own and use it with impunity as long as the barrel freaking lasts.

After seeing J35 pictures in air show many people who used to regard chinese weapons as junk and paper plans, gone into panic mode.

I remember when J-20 made first flight, People started mocking Chinese instantly, instead of figuring out what coming to them.

India don't have defence ministry, it's a show of Jokers. Foreign ministry actually India's defence ministry.

Now China will not fight war against India directly, it's canon fodder like Ukraine will fight for China.

Indian engineers are very talented and good. I know this because a lot of American companies hire them. So wtf is wrong in India where Indian engineers are unable to use their vast brainpower to develop tools!?

There are always illustrious exceptions and anecdotal examples, but by and large, Indian engineers are task oriented and perform exactly as per requirements. Conceptualizing, designing and running a complex program like aircraft engine, 5th generation fighter aircraft, nuke powered carrier etc. is not their forte. Add govt babu interference, reservations and favoritism to the mix and you get the current pile of horsesh.t like HAL and DRDO.

Do we even have a decent built from scratch car engine, let alone an aircraft, ship, submarine one?!?! The education system sucks which encourages only rote learning and thinking out of the box is scoffed at. Then we have sweatshop babus like a Murthy, who only make money from body shopping and currency arbitrage. So, an average engineer sucks in college and then again gets prostituted to serve an "onshore" client. Until this is fixed, we will not have an innovation culture like West (specifically the US) has. Then there are societal and cultural constraints where safety is prioritized over adventurism/risk-taking from a career perspective. Parents will never encourage their kids to be an Elon or Jobs, instead they would want them to work for such a risk-taker for a paltry salary and a proverbial onsite visit carrot.

*It's 2015, at that point we're not just the only non-US country operating P-8I but also had permission for customisation. So it's not like anything hostile where they'd engage us.

*Any competent force would try to enforce an ADIZ as harshly as possible. USAF and especially National Guards one regularly intercept private planes about to veer off to any sensitive place, even the Ice-cream guys shot down that RuAF Su-24, we shot our own Mi-17 (definitely a face palm moment but proves that AD component was doing what it was supposed to do)...and here we're talking about a CBG, the primary war fighting asset of USA.

*Today OSINT guys regularly track aircraft using open-source FlightRadar and based on satellite pictures, past pattern, geographic knowledge can predict with pretty good accuracy the flight path of planes...FORTE-11/13 for example. And here we're talking about multiple ships with AN/SPY-1, E-2Cs and what not tracking a big propeller plane based in just one specific base.

*Was that Il-38 using a SDR to communicate with the base? What level of encrypted radio communication was being used? If none, then even amature radio guys would have been able to listen to their communication if by chance they're also on the same frequency and have known their names. And here we're talking about a CSG with perhaps the most dense ESM and ESSM network anywhere on the planet.

What happened was just a skill issue and these kind of things regularly happen. No need to portrayed it as someone hacked into our nuclear enrichment faculties and made the centrifuges go into an overdrive...

China is now using more than 1000 SU-27 jets in various forms. But UN generals seems over satisfied after having 262 SU-30 MKI.

Assembly line of Su-30 just closed in 2022 and Blind UN generals allowed them to be closed despite of knowing that squadron level is dwindling fast and no possibility to buy new jet from out side.

UN generals also gave order for Tejas MK1a only when GE 404 production assembly stopped in America.

Now anyone can see the criminal intent of UN Generals, to import a fighter jets from outside they actually closed all options inside India first.

But important is that SU-30mki was available and even available today.

Last time I checked, the Capital Outlay that actually matters when it comes to procuring equipment has gone up YoY.
