He's claiming he didn't know how to resolve the Ayodhya case so he sat before the Lord ( Sri Ram) & asked HIM for guidance .
You're free to interpret it as you want . That he's free from blame , that he had the ear of the Lord or that the judgement / solution is divinely inspired.
Also should explain the basic structure doctrine of the constitution though his father opposed it in the original case - Keshavand Bharati , thereby siding with the government but later started referring to it in subsequent judgements.
