Well, the allegations are from 2021-22 in Odisha (BJD), Tamil Nadu (DMK/INC), Chattisgarh (INC) & Andra Pradesh (YSRCP).

If i read this (attachment) correctly, i am assuming that the bribe was allegedly paid to state officials in the respective states. So in this case, assuming that everything mentioned is true, bribe went to state officials.

So money trail here is from Adani to state government officials. But yes, Modi's name has been dragged into this. Winter session of Parliament is also coming.

Agree with the rest but not this bit. GoI must conduct an investigation . However this would have no bearing on the FBI & SEC case . We can't implicate one of our own & a clean chit will be seen as an eyewash by the world not to mention it'd still have no bearing on the case in the US.

Finally it depends on the quality of the evidence . Prima facie it seems the FBI has gotten itself communication of his nephew Sagar Adani which is pretty solid evidence . They've also levelled allegations of Gautam Adani being personally involved in the payoffs apart from his nephew keeping track of it .

How did they do so is a mystery. Ideally Adani's attorneys should explore the option of a fine which would be hefty & get out though I'm not sure if US laws permit it in a bribery case of this magnitude. The charges are quite serious.
