Indian Politics and Democracy

Looks like his wife was involved in corruption, this argument does not augur much confidence

Another provocative part played by foreign intelligence. Put her in jail now if it's true. Same goes against pappu and Italian bootlickers across country. BJP needs to learn how to show to people the art of politics with being in the side of doing correct thing.

Anybody has more inThere are rumors that a politician's son was involved in some racket in the hospital. The principal was part of the gang. The honest lady came to know about it and she was against it. Eventually she was murdered. Ppl say that even her car was vandalized by the miscrents. The arrested Sanjoy Roy is just a scapegoat who was forced to become the accused.

There is enormous anger against Mamata, most probably trying to cover up a gang rape and pin all the blame on single person. Definitely some big shot involved.

BJP should mobilize ground cadre for protests, all the protests happening right now are by students/doctors/general public, spontaneously. Mamata has a track record of defending rapists, should expose that.

BJP Haryana has announced bumper freebies :daru:

1. Starting August 2024, they'll give Rs 1200 a month to unemployed 12th pass, Rs 2000 to graduates, and Rs 3500 to postgraduates.

With unemployment at 40% in the state, this could cost around Rs 12000-15000Cr about 10% of the state's GDP.

2. They'll now buy 24 crops at MSP instead of just 10.

3. Income limit for OBC creamy layer status will go up from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, which will cover entire OBC section which is 40% of the state's population.

4. Subsidized cylinder will cost Rs 500.

5. Extra 5% reservation for OBCs in PRIs.

It is not always healthy to be clutching to a state for so long, it isn't like based Gujarat where you have solid grip.
I guess BJP does not want another farmer protest like situation so they want to keep this state.

Being liked to Punjab must be a factor as well.
If they lose Haryana, then the Khalis will be parking themselves for next 5 years neat Delhi border.

Haryana has decent fiscal health; can afford some election year freebies.

Right, Haryana is really important for the BJP because it borders Punjab and surrounds Delhi on three sides.

Issue is these freebies don't guarantee a win. High levels of anti-incumbency, even among its supporters. Most population is agriculture centric, and the opposition has successfully created a negative image.

In LS elections, they got only 5 out of 10 seats even with Modi’s name. Won’t get more than 50% of the votes in the assembly elections.

Jats(including sikhs) and Mleccha together makes up about 33-37% of Haryana's population. If such a large portion of the population is hostile to a party, it becomes very challenging for that party to win elections.

BJP has a strong hold in Karnal, Kurukshetra, Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, Faridabad. This can guarantee them at least 20 seats of 24. It's not that these areas are not salty with BJP, but they understand what may happen if they're out of power.

Rest of the seats are dominated by Jat, Mleccha, Yadav brotherhood.
