When you are in majority, you're divided into caste, ethnicity, language, tribe etc. Things like that don't matter when you're a minority.

You won't find Hindus in J&K for example doing this "Ye dogre aise hote hai, wo kashmiri batte waise hote hai, sardars ye karte hai, rajput wo karte hai" thingy because they are a minority.

Its a common phenomena in the subcon.

I think prez rule would be suicidal as elections will have to be conducted after 6 months and we know what the result will be and what happens after the results.

Having said that Begum is also probably feeling the heat as she never expected Bangladesh crisis and Nirbhahya2.0 to happen in quick succession.
Probably keeping the pressure on her and build heavy anti-incumbency is better than prez rule?

No that is not the case. Hindus are not a politically conscious community. Take for example Canada percentage of Hindus is more than sikhs yet no.,of Sikh MPs are more and it's their issues that dominate Canadian polity

Hinduism is not politically aligned religion sience the monarchy was abolished.
Hindus don't see the point of doing democratic politics on basis religion as there is no state religion.
It's too difficult for hinduism to survive without a leader. Nepal is also facing same issue now.

Modi is succumbing to pressure. If that is the case this goverment will be same as UPA era knighmare, I sincerely hope that is not the case.
Why the hell gobhi cucked out on every resistance. In this term maybe it is becoz of coalition kichdi.

On the other hand this happened .
Typical media,typical leaders , typical whitewashing and typical dhindus having no clue.

Lateral entry should be of the least concern when you have a 240 minority govt and caste issues becoming prominent again. Every other issue will now be termed anti dalit and anti obc.

So bringing the issue of Lateral entry at such a time signals that there is no coordination in govt. This govt is going the upa 2 way in terms of policy paralysis.

I am hoping atleast do away with the top down PMO must approve culture and let the bureaucrats do their thing and focus on surviving this term and coming back with a stronger majority in 2029.

the same issue gets repainted in various colours every few years irrespective of party in power, this time with political (social justice) colour.

- IAS and IPS are not keen to go on their central posting, they want to stay in the states
- since it is voluntary, central gormint can't do much about it.
- there is always a shortfall at central level
- UPSC lobby does not like lateral entry.

new cabinet secretary is due for taking charge on 30th aug.

How do we stop this petty politics seeping in every single thing and GOI no matter whose afraid to take decisive action even it benifits country.
On the other it is china and USA who playing proper politics while we keep playing petty politics back at home harming our own progress and inching close to become vessels yet again.

these politics happened all the time, will continue in the future as well.
difference is that, now there is information overflow due to realtime selective amplification, and worse there is monetary incentive of amplification.

last time it took a few decades after emergency for public at large to realise that news organisations are taking us for a ride. not sure how the current scenario will get solved, usual trend is that things get worse before they get better.

worst case scenario is where U.S is at this moment, murican loop itself is not yet closed. so i presume whatever happens there will happen here with a lag and desi tadka.
