Why is that a 15% voting block have disproportionate influence on policy making and 75% cannot even free their temples from state control? You might say those 15% vote en bloc. That may not be complete assessment. If that were the facts then even 20% of 75% would have influenced policy to their favour. But that is not case even in several clear majority govts from independence. The reason is strong politically conscious society that would seek their agenda even when the sympathetic govt in power and not just do fan worship of politicians. Just look how in even in BJP rule they are able to retain or even gain community centric funds and policies which may or may not have started during congress govts

You won't find Hindus in J&K for example doing this "Ye dogre aise hote hai, wo kashmiri batte waise hote hai, sardars ye karte hai, rajput wo karte hai" thingy because they are a minority.

Its a common phenomena in the subcon.

Probably keeping the pressure on her and build heavy anti-incumbency is better than prez rule?

No that is not the case. Hindus are not a politically conscious community. Take for example Canada percentage of Hindus is more than sikhs yet no.,of Sikh MPs are more and it's their issues that dominate Canadian polity

Hinduism is not politically aligned religion sience the monarchy was abolished.
Hindus don't see the point of doing democratic politics on basis religion as there is no state religion.
It's too difficult for hinduism to survive without a leader. Nepal is also facing same issue now.
