Indian Politics and Democracy

since the Congress has shifted further left & there's practically little to distinguish it from a communist party as of the present with the communists themselves gone with the wind.

It is said INC Kerala is more commie than CPI in kerala now a days

I'm not quite sure this is how things will pan out. Muslims & Christians are also being enumerated on the basis of caste & simultaneously we're being told the Muslims won't be eligible for reservations. If that's the case why enumerate both ?

I am taking these leaders at face value - AS is on record (on the floor of the Parliament) that congressis are looking to breach the 50% ceiling to accomodate communities who are loyal to them (read Muslims) and that they will fight 'tooth and nail' to keep the equilibrium intact. As far as enumerating M castes is concerned, it is probably a cornerstone of their 'pasmanda outreach' strategy - they are looking to pit 'those poor and destitute pasmanda brethren' against 'ze ebhil Ashrafs reee'; do not think they are planning to bring reservations for the Ms.

And of course, they are looking to bring subcategorization and 'quotas within quotas'.

Both these national parties have been very clear with their stances up until now. Also, you are correct in the assesment that the BJPwallahs are becoming more and more like the old big tent congress party (back when they used to oppose more reservations etc) - just with more economic liberalism and some degree of commitment to a number of Hindutva talking points.

The UPA govt tried this approach. Did not succeed. If it did not happen back then - when the Indian economy/private sector was much smaller and had less lobbying power; it will not happen now.

Ya'll need to calm down a bit. Even the congressis are not talking about private sector reservations.
They are talking about our regularly and openly, khangress might not implement it when they gain power but we have to consider that our vishwacoolie supreme leader might do it himself in order to win election.

If guys suddenly get garam over this, remember these seem to only be things that pop up on manifesto or are part of chaddi messaging across the decades

  • 370 Nikalo
  • Mandir Wahi Banega
  • Triple Talaq removal
  • Waqf Amendment
  • UCC
If there's anything i've missed lmk

Now are you regretting all those times you guys abused Mudi for his freebies. Guess now you have worse, a pandora box that should not have been opened.

Mudi kaka is reducing Central PSU Jobs evey year while doling out freebies.
Middle class has grown but proper redistribution of wealth has not happend thanks to the babuns who are both the ones running and ruining the country.

Land prices all time high=Politcian and Babu Nexus.
Punjipati pradhan policy=Babu and Politcians laying a web of obstacles to keep the Indian infra and bureaucracy lacking.

Ruling India is like trying to balance on a rope with a monocycle while jugling a dozen balls while also holding up a lemon on a spoon stuffed in mouth. All this while people below are throwing stone at you and a raging storm.

Let me play the devil's advocate & say that if things don't go as per plan for the BJP & the sub quota within quota plan backfires leaving no scope but to increase reservations which including the EWS already stands at ~ 60% & all the parties get together to pass such an act under the 9th schedule , what're the courts going to do ?

Strike it down ? GoI can pass such an act once again & since there will be political unity the parliament could well threaten the judiciary with impeachment for over stepping their constitutional limits.

Ideally this topic should never have been touched . Now it's like opening up a Pandora's box. I wonder why exactly did Modi take such a step ? I refuse to believe it's the Bihar elections.

You don't take such a huge step that impacts the entire polity only to win elections in a state . Had that been the case we'd have seen action on the matter before Maharashtra went to the polls , a state much more important than Bihar .

I don't even think coalition pressures did it for Modi since CBN has barely spoken on the issue & Nitiswa has kept quiet ever since he's rejoined the NDA.

Something doesn't quite add up unless there's some 56D chess being played which we lesser mortals can't make sense of .

What're your opinions ? @ezsasa

My best guess is that they're doing this census to shut up the opposition from raising this point every election and then never actually release the data( kinda like the 2011 socio economic data, which has never been released as well). They could just say the data was unreliable or something and never actually release it or maybe they'll release it a decade later, hoping that this issue might die down by then.

But, even if that's their goal(to be in control of the caste census narrative), it's still a bad idea nevertheless, opens up a whole host of issues.

If the past few elections are any indicator, just give more freebies to the dehaat, more than enough to win you elections. They absolutely didn't need to do this.

So this is gonna happen

Leedorji has the haseen sapna of chopping up the greens on the lines of jaat like it has been done to hondus, in order to cut their votes and break their unity.

Whether this sapna will become reality, I doubt.

This could also have a blowback of
>greens have jaat
>therefore low jaat greens are oppressed
>therefore they need reservation under the same ST/SC portions

🤡

Judiciary is like Julius Caesar's wife. cannot be touched and modi ji have time and again bowed down to milords . Don't expect anything , impeachment is not even in dreams...

remember that HC judge... fella got 2 Posh type 7 bungalows in both Delhi and Allahabad post transfer along with 16 crores ...he fellow milords will protect him via enquiry and blame will fall on a peon or some one non consequential as faith in judiciary is top most priority ...

haven't looked into it, but my limited guess.

BJP was caught off guard, by silent jatitva narrative during last elections in UP. UPA is heavily banking on jatitva politics.

UP elections are in march 27, census takes about 18 months to complete, they will probably time the census it to make it a non-issue in bihar and UP elections.

might as well throw the opponents off balance, deal with the consequences later.

No....it's not gonna happen.....even in the perspective of blue collar jobs.....things are much more complicated....all the states are adopting new labour codes and easing labour laws.....no company would like more regulations and complexities and will be detrimental to foriegn investments.
Both INC and BJP agree to do it because of respective business lobbies.

At what point the voters refuse to buy reservation-maxxxing promises by congis?

Since the caste census card has been nullified, the next is reservation in private sector and breaching 50% cap as election issues.

In 2019 election, the prince offered a sum of 72000 per year to the poors as a part of some Nyay Scheme scam, obviously people don't trust congis so that stunt flopped in that election

Religious Reservation is out of question as of now...will violate many constitutional provisions...even 9th Schedule is not gonna protect it.
