He gives amazing insights

Gen Padha was commissioned into 4/11 Parachute Engineer Company. Later on he went into 9 Para Cdo. From Col Awadesh Kumar's book - "on eve of war on 30 Nov 71 he had to be evacuated to Military Hospital at Jammu due to severe kidney infection. On 4th December night with 102° temperature, he managed to “escape “from MH and somehow reached Alpha Group at the Chamb Bridge site just before the 4th Paki assault on the morning of 5th December. Though perforce due to worsening conditions he again had to be evacuated along with BHM Bahal Chand and was back as “POW “of MH Jammu"
absolute madlad

It was/is a pretty good optic for its time even revolutionary to an extent , when using viz laser was a thing .

Funny why they are replacing it with Mor when they have an inhouse Optic development and mfg

They developed their skill inhouse by ' figuring it out ' or there was some western influence involved ?

This guy right here is responsible for most of modern day sniping capabilities of MARCOS and perhaps Indian SF at large

He cross trained with SEALs, French Commando Hubert, Isreali Snipers etc. He trained more than 50 snipers in MARCOS. That's a hell of thing to say. He lead alot of changes, even demonstrated himself better than the Isreali counterparts in an exercise back in 2010. He was also a sniper in 26/11

@COLDHEARTED AVIATOR I recommend you to see this interview, it's less than half an hour and will be worth the time. There's another interview of his - a little longer on some channel called careerjourney and that was even better

yes after 9 Para, he was even sent to 1 Para, where he commanded the unit also

Brother please keep this convo to CI-CT thread only. Thanks

UCAV shall be integrated to PARA SF for any effective outcomes, the earlier they understand more the lives would be saved. The highly motivated tangos need to taken down psychologically as well.

Very true and that too at multiple levels (squad/command element etc.) even during prolonged hunting operations where such things aren't traditionaly "allowed" to use here.

they need thermal camouflage and thermal discipline training asap
Thermal camouflage and Evasion techniques should be the norm at CBS and equivalent schools that teach concepts of unconvential warfare to RR and other forces involved. I am hopeful that they'll implement it soon. MoD, Top brass and Govt should also stop the apeasement politics and flex muscle the proper way. If youre cutting the amount of deployed personnel atleast deploy proper tech to fill larger gaps, the troops on ground can fill the smaller ones by improvisation.

That too, but SF is already known to have these and much beyond this. It is on their part if they want to apply these norms.

He's one of the best Marco ive heard of. Apart from advanced level sniping; what attracted me was that he even worked for a Marcos formation/Naval Int unit that somewhat works like DG's Black Squadron.

not 100% sure, but seems like
2 soldiers killed 3 injured no confirmation on para or not , people claiming officers casualties but no confirmation as the attack / ambushe happened 20kms inside Jungle. Somebody fucked up resulted in casualties.

Soon the soldiers casualties will surpass terrorists casualties for the first time in Indian history of ci ct

I think it’s already surpassed.

This is absolutely pathetic.
