Indian Special Forces

I hate that one question that every chutiya podcaster asks, "What's the mindset of a SF operative" Arey maa chudaye Mindset, have heard hundreds of similar answers to same question. Ask about weapons, Operations and grill em on questions like INT gathering and deputation to units like SG/Archer/Phantom/52SAG.:)
There are millions of plumbers and doctors in this world.Do they all have a common mindset? Dumbest question ever asked bu these guys

Did SG take part in Kargil? I read about a bunch of Vikasis being attached to another battalion in some book I can't remember - it said their performance wasn't v good.

Para's role in Kargil too is often scrutinized.

Can anyone share some actual accounts?
No they didn’t.

SFF as a whole was involved as per their roles.

PARA SF along with the 50th PARA Brgd did what most people can't even think off, many western SF fanboiz troll em for the fck up where 10 PARA SF and 5 PARA Cdo lost a few men due to inaccurate INT but were forced to assault the peak.
Anybody can tell me who lased/designated the target when the IAF M2Ks were bombing peaks during Op Safed Sagar?
5 Para had a rather poor record in the behgining, however.

They knew that 5770 was occupied by enemy in Feb-March of 99 but chose to ignore it.

SFTS and at one more place:D

True and sad, internal politics in the army has delayed his promotion to Brigadier by 10 yrs...

One of the most decorative SF chaps.

True!
His promotion was not delayed, definitely not by 10 yrs.
He is a 1994 batch officer, got promoted to Brig in 2020, with the rest of his batch.
Also, he has denied the "victimisation" reports.

I would say that this promotion and victimisation stories have been blown way too much.
Usually, in promotions age too plays a major factor, and direct entry officers lose 1-2 crucial years, as they are older than their NDS coursemates.
