Dude this is supposed to be someone who joined the Army, went through infantry school, got a posting somewhere, then went for Para probation, cleared it somehow, and is now part of a contingent of "elite" soldiers in a bilateral exercise. Are you kidding me?!

Is this their analogue of Special Group (4 Vikas)? The gear is mostly comparable 4 and 9 PARA SF.



We do have some ACOG scopes but they are used with the Sig 716i issued to the unit as SDMRs (per an old pic of PARA Airborne).

There are some Acogs, probably I saw 6x ones with 6 Para but ofc I get your point

This is not a cope btw (It is a cope ) but Paras may not have Acogs but they do have Magnifiers.
Now this is my PoV
Magnifiers are better since you can pair those up with Weapon Mounted thermals or nigh sights easily without too much weight, idk if the same can be done with Acogs or not. Even if its doable it would be cumbersome and heavy
Plus if I am not wrong the avg Eotech EXPS3 and G33/G43/G45 setup would cost lesser than the Acog with the RMR

And I can't find more images right now with magnifiers which means one simple thing , @Yt2211 @Unknowncommando please share if any
And there are both EOTech and Mepro magnifiers in service and I believe atleast in a squad of six removing the gunner and the Carl Gustav/Grenadier and Marksman guy rest three should have Magnifiers especially the team lead

Here is the Infantry with AK203 with EOTECH EXPS3 Holographic Sight & G43 Magnifier as some members have said the SF always gets what the infantry has. LC battalions and RR are often seen with the same setup

MARCOS similarly also have gone for Magnifiers rather than Acogs

maybe the photo was clicked when was positioning the rifle or some other shit , our guys are expert in akm's , they know how to shoot

Eotech exp3 with g33/43 are being locally manufactured by local venders and infantry battalion especially ghatak units have them in good number sf might get them if they want have need
I also think red dot /holo and magnifer combo is superior to acog with rmr

It is true due to superior surveillance we have and when a decent trained infantry battalion which has been on battle mode for a year or two lays ambush ANY SF team will get destroyed.

To remember why we are superior is very important.

And to keep the tech superiority is very important.

Or else SSG wont be a psuhover.
