Afaik they would have gotten themselves into an investigation but nothing more than that.

Also this was not the only case after 2016 we have seen many such failures a recent operation (I will not name it) the commanding offcr on ground of non sf unit forced the operatives to rush into the operation leading to multiple casualties for that sf unit including some of the finest ones,again no responsibility.

Para works differently from normal units they are the men who are eager to do shit like this and want to learn more afaik so the chances of this happening is low on top of that recently after col shivender is getting so much limelight with his knowledge and gear you will see that there is a shift in the kind of images you will see by the paras it will be more “fancy” looking and not that chapri one (just my assumption from seeing recent images of para )

Also I have heard from many officers that inside the units there are men who read books of foreign SOF operators try to learn their way and be the best (Col shivender also mentioned this) so I think there are operators who learn you just don’t see them doing it as the number is very low.

major arjun of 4 para SF also mentioned the same thing in his interview with military mantra, young officers are mostly like that. A lot of personal level tactics can be built by reading books and watching youtube, but changing the whole picture takes more i.e a total change in ecosystem. Brig. Shekhawat is one such officer who has actually done an exceptional job whose fruits para, marcos and garuds will bear.

Books and all are a part of grooming of every officer but the thing is everyone doesnt have the aptitude of reading and grasping and implementing.

Most officers are not nerdy and there are exceptions like Col Shivendra,Major Sapru and Brig Shekhawat.

So, such officers who read and learn IF given promotions can do wonders but everything has to pan out well.

Most people who become Generals are tortoise and not rabbit..and start really as a average joe.

cant imagine the bravery the teams showed here. Clearing a building ground-up with less than required men and material. Total apathy from the higher ups. Sent in a squad operating in the area without nothing, got capt kumar killed, then hastily called in a team operating somewhere else and asked them to clear the building in similiar way. Ln/Nk OP and Capt Mahajan's squad was clearing the insides of the building without the required number of demolition material and grenades for room entries, countless complex rooms aur pata nahie kya kya. This whole situation could have been avoided just by the usage of NSG and heptrs. They cared more about the political image than their highly competent men.

cant imagine the bravery the teams showed here. Clearing a building ground-up with less than required men and material. Total apathy from the higher ups. Sent in a squad operating in the area without nothing, got capt kumar killed, then hastily called in a team operating somewhere else and asked them to clear the building in similiar way. Ln/Nk OP and Capt Mahajan's squad was clearing the insides of the building without the required number of demolition material and grenades for room entries, countless complex rooms aur pata nahie kya kya. This whole situation could have been avoided just by the usage of NSG and heptrs. They cared more about the political image than their highly competent men.

Bhai political image nhi..NSG ko use nhi kia for two reasons in my opinion.

First is that Para SF had recently conducted surgical strikes and the Army was on a high.General had no idea on where to use which unit.

Second reason…yeh sale IPS force hum Army ko kya sikhayegi.

While you maynot be wrong entirely few things to consider

1. Childhood/infant nutrition in India is horrible. Access to better diet later in life does not compensate for foundational deficiencies.

2. 10/3 Para - Are Built for endurance in the Desert. They are built different. Mentally, psycologically, Physically. - kinda like frogmen who swim out of submarines. - weird bunch of humans

It all comes down to what unit..whats the training like bcoz diet is same for all units.

I was living in a cantonment since many weeks and every morning when i went to run i saw really tall and well built guys running..from infantry regtt(2 seperate units) ..all of them had a local akhada wrestler type of body.

In Delhi where i live i have seen NSG guys running many times and they all look very lean.

So maybe its all ragda in the end.
