Social media pe kha…Social media pe it will be a major victory.no it seems we'll loose it badly very badly
Marcos should leave all these exercises with Gawar Para SF and focus on other nations.
We are developing new relationships with Greece and we could get good exposure with them.

Gawar means ignorant/illiterate..its not a gaali..its just a condition.bhai pls ,dont call them gawar
In an ideal world but small arms seem to be a unique hold out in indigenisation1. I am apprehensive about getting more and more entrenched with the Israeli MIC- they have used us as lab rats for decades - We are already entertwined in the AF and Navy for critical tech
2. if FOREX has to go out - lets choose the best. (Example Caracal's entire family of Small Arms)
3. Ideal would we build our own AR & AK Pattern Small Arms family in house and give that money to an indian firm. - own the supply chain
- For Special Operators - the Soldiers can sit witht he Manufacutre and refine as per their user feedback ( trigger weight etc etc)
Only in IndiaStay here and enjoy the circus.
If you go for years or weeks you will be disappointed when you come back.
I can post a 100 pics in patka or tin helmets for every pic of high cuts anyone can get out from their secret stash!
So bottom line is its gonna take really long to upgrade.
Have some dignityView attachment 26270
We should have gone for this one instead of Tavors or proposed Carmels. We already have Cz Bren -2s in 7.62x39 with Grey hounds and its a solid one loved by users.
This kind of capability comes FROM a clear mandate, doctrine and C&C structureYou should read up on how the Unit was stood up. They lost an insane number of Airframes and some pilots in the early days - just developing their night assault capability
I also believe that when they forward deploy a Unit of A10s and Spectres are earmarked for them.
Was it a stall? That would be insanely impressive (in a bad way) in a C130I heard after our c130 crashed due to stall in low flying such ops were discontinued for some time?
Are they trainjng for the same now?
Ya this guy who was a part of things told me 3-4 years back that the first 130 turned and this one which crashed came under its wake and had a tip stall in a turn from which it couldnt recover at a small altitude. Was it a stall? That would be insanely impressive (in a bad way) in a C130
I thought it was CFIT and yeah this did stop the C130 units of the IAF (mind you they exist nominally to be SF support) to stop doing low level airborne insertion training
Even more retarded then I imagined then, I always assumed CFIT which would be pretty absurd but somewhat understandable given what they were training forYa this guy who was a part of things told me 3-4 years back that the first 130 turned and this one which crashed came under its wake and had a tip stall in a turn from which it couldnt recover at a small altitude.
I think if i remember correctly he blammed the a/c ahead to be at fault…not 100% though as it is years old conversation and i almost forgot about it until the moment i saw that post.

Formation flying is taught to these guys from almost day 1 of flight training and that is an obvious threat that should’ve been briefed
No wonder you hear these guys are pretty bad in a CRM environment and that too at TEM

I remember this crash fairly well and also the noise about it online- crashing a near brand new C130J during a training mission was pretty hard for my fanboy brain to defend back then. In retrospect it highlights a LOT of the issues that plague the Indian militaryI dont know why Indian Officers specially of Army and Airforce branch consider it a disease to learn or to ask.
Its a pretty simple thing to do.
They could have easily asked the US military for help in setting up sniper school, low flying courses, cqb schools etc but they just wont ask.
They wont be embarrassed asking for tech but will be very embarrassed asking for the training to use the tech 100%.
If marcos want to be numero uno it needs to stop hanging out with Para SF and degrade itself in modern warfare.Doesn’t seem realistic to ever get on par with top tier Western units (five eyes+French/Germans) but MARCOs at least could seemingly get on terms with the second rung of the Western units- Greek, Romanians etc
Paras maybe can match Nigerians and Somalis in 2040s
Have you seen the comments on the Jaffna raid video by that tactical history guy on YouTube? The same story told in India and you’d get feeling paroood, but to a global audience with objective views and some tactical understanding+ Western veterans and you get an idea into the actual quality of Indian officers post-1971. These guys could probably do an okay job if deployed in France during WW2 but in anything like modern warfare? It’s going to be a bloodbathIf marcos want to be numero uno it needs to stop hanging out with Para SF and degrade itself in modern warfare.
Even NSG looks shady.
Just focus on asking western units to be cross trained with or even Asian ones like Russians,Malayasians and Koreans.
If you keep hanging out with units that have no interest in upgrading and procuring and only do one thing ie playing the same song on a broken record you wont go anywhere.
Look at the joke Para SF has become from its glory days in 71.
The Paras should have done a self introspection after 1983 which they didn’t and went to Lanka and performed poorly aswell.
They were lucky that the Lankan experience helped them initially in the 90s but now with the involvement of technology from Afghanistan they are suddenly seeming helpless in tracking terrorists and end up getting ambushed like a infantry unit from Vietnam.

Jingoism, rhetoric and blind chalta hai attitude will always meet reality one day and in a catastrophic fashion
Did the CO who signed off on that mission ever get held accountable? Just more bodies to cremate and widows to support
‘Fight with what we have’ seems like a target and not a cope
You can throw good money at these guys but as these crashes and backwards mounting of scopes proves the deficiencies are in mindset and not funding these days
In other news for the cost of a handful of jet engines India could’ve had this

The weakness of India is by design is all I can fathom these days
Gali kise de raha hai tu yahape? Ab kya bolega hindi meh chutiya bolna common hai? Neither do you add any value in your answers nor do you've basic decency to respect guys in uniform. Bass rant karna hai dinbhar. Jab US Navy ne LPVO ulta lagaya tha woh tab bhi elite the kya? You guys will question a blue on blue for a Mi 17 we lost during an aerial skirmish but never bother pondering why FA 18 was downed in mere training exercises/routine flying.Wondering what those two clowns are seeing. BC kya badiya acting kar rahe dono chutiyeAnd these are our Espeshul Phorces BC. They deserve training by Master Shifu the joker and that Con-artist couple.
