Hi guys, this is the place to discuss the future modernisation prospects and ideas for Indian Army's Infantry. lets keep it civil.

Some indian company (Star Aerospace Private Limited) selling it at a High cost under the name of made in india
Ofcourse. I bet its twice the market price. Well all things aside atleast this is a welcome step ahead.. rest 203s could go ahead with the BEL(?)/ARDE(?) sight.

Afaik bel sight failed the trial same for trinetra of arde
So essentially we have no other Indian option if the leadership wanted to standardise a HWS on the remaining rifles?

That's pistol sight, their PR100A could be better option View attachment 894

The thing is both PLR rifles as well as Jindal Taurus rifles could be seen being offered with RRP PR100 Red dot.
this RD along with the riser makes more sense.

Micro Reflex Sight for pistols, already ordered by MARCOS with their Adani/PLR-IWI Masada Pistols.View attachment 941

Man I love how systematic and well managed MARCOS chaps are everything is standardised.

Also is there any reason why our infantry troops don’t use a sidearm?like the US standardised SIG m17&m18

Afaik sidearms are not standardly issued to regulars, also they are not really well trained with them , bayonets and blades are their sidearms .
Officers and some armor and supplies men are do issued with OFB 9mm ( which most absolutely despise due to its unreliability and low firepower ) . From what I have heard personally , supplies men used to prefer carry rifles instead of them .

Telescopic on a LMG&AK203 and Holos on SIG 716i🤡(I can see one sig 716 with telescopic and ak 203 with holo those are probably the only correct ones in this picture)
Also on a single table we have both 7.62x51mm & 7.62x39mm weapons you will feel this when you are carrying two different types of heavier rounds for separate weapons.
Army decided to do emergency procurement while knowing they have chosen a 7.62x39mm rifle to be the standard in Indian Army and ended up buying a 7.62x51mm rifle which again is a beautiful sight from logistics POV.
