i was in absolute disgust of previous tata cars but ones designed by Martin Uhlarik is really spectacular . Although , i think its time for tata to have a new aesthetical identity

Is pratap bose is overrated in terms of designer?

But after joining Mahindra still we can same old Mahindra trait like brilliant front end and dog shit rear end.
XUV700 - Fantastic front design and mediocre rear.
Scorpio - Brilliant front with lazy rear design.
Marazzo - Again nice front with poor rear design.
Thar - Ctrl C+Ctrl V wrangler 3 door
Thar Roxx - Ctrl C + Ctrl V wrangler 5 door (with minor grill design)
Bolero - Chad car in the lineup for long time.

After Pratap Bose
XUV3XO - Ugly front and great rear to compensate the poor rear design.

I know the design has this and that but if im thinking of a futuristic ev that will befit in a cyberpunk world i'm thinking of mahindra's new firm's design and not the xuv3xo .
I bet their new designing firm can design very nice mahindra cars befitting of our current modern world instead of cyberpunk

His designs are highly Polarizing!

People either love it or totally hate it. There is nothing in between!

@haldilal and others.

I am planning to buy a car under 15 lakhs with sub 4 meters length.

What are the best options available in this with focus on safety and features as well, or should I wait a bit for some of the facelifts coming up.

I am planning on getting it in 6 or 8 months.

Any suggestions?

Ya'll Nibbiars Nexon is a option if looking for a Crossover, Punch is at lower end option also. And don't worry about Service stations Contery to rumours. I never faced a single problem.

Yes I am keeping Nexon as my first option, I am looking at Amaze as well what about it? It's going for a facelift soon.

In Tata is there any other option apart from Nexon, I think I will be buying Nexon but want to look at other options as well.

Punch I don't like the design for now but it's also going for a facelift so let's see what they do with it.

Ya'll Nibbiars What about the Curvv?. Initial review seem good enough.

Normal family use to run the errands and office apart from occasional tours. Not much use will be there, I have already got one for more than 4 people.

This is second one.

Then it might a case for buying an EV.

Currently Punch.ev is the best car in the segment. Even the Petrol/Diesel Punch is the best option in 8-12 lac bracket.

First check the condition and review of your local Tata Showroom and service center. If there are not much negative reviews of service center and test drive the Punch - EV/Petrol/Diesel one.

Yes in my city there are multiple tata service centres so there will be no issue with service part.

Yes I thought of getting ev but I am not sold on charging part as of now so I am not considering ev's.

And for punch it feels too small according to my taste.

Most probably I am considering Tata Nexon as of now, but let's see what they do with Tata Punch facelift than can have a look at it again.

Punch does most of the task Nexon does with smaller budget. It is the most Value for Money car right now and is cannibalizing Nexon sales too.

Go to your nearest Tata Showroom and test drive both for 8-10 KM at minimum.

Does anyone have an update on the status of Pravaig Electric cars? Is this a company still in the formative stage, or do they actually have vehicles on the roads?

They are testing veer for sometime (Army and Forest). One of the prototype involved in serious accidents

I remember that. Somebody on this forum( DFI) said they saw Pravaig cars on the road, this was in August/2023. Confirmation of this is very difficult to find!

When I wanted to buy a car, my neighbour who is the COO of a chain of dealership adviced me not to go for a car equal to or above 4 m length. According to him one should never put money in a depreciating assets when you know that you are taxed heavily on that asset. As a result I brought a Tiago.
