13k is for salary and maintenance purpose I think. Every mission has different allocation.

Till 12.75L you will get a rebate and no tax to be paid.
The moment you cross that you will be charged of tax in the slabs
4-8L@5% and 8-12L@10% and no rebate is applicable.
This is as per my understanding !!

are you sure no rebate after 12.75L? and correct me if I am wrong, if one earns 13 LPA his income after taxes will come out to be less than that of a person with 12.75 LPA?

it's 12% increase in capex if forces manage to spend 1.8 lakh cr, forces have been able to spend 1.59 lakh crore current fiscal.



demand for grants is a bottom up process, all departments down the hierarchy give the number they think they will be able to spend and the final number goes to finance ministry for approval.

in the current fiscal, either some contracts that were scheduled to be signed did not happen, or delivery/payment did not happen yet.

1.1L crore is chumps change. Also, they will more than make up for the shortfall given tax buoyancy (even though personally not in favor of eliminating income taxes altogether for someone earning 5-6x the pci of the nation).

The Finance Minister stated that the Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Policy will be revamped to address cost disadvantages, which will also include Credit Notes for shipbreaking in Indian yards to promote the circular economy.
