It’s very nonsensical IMO for the IA to operate the way it does now, and shows a clear decline in the cognitive ability and generalship of the indian army.

In the early stages of the insurgency, all the way till the second phase was destroyed, the Indian military used HUMINT and established a reliable intel networks amongst locals which led to killings of large amount of insurgents and groups being wiped out from the maps.

What the army did not have an advantage in equipment it made up for in tactical acumen and planning.

The army in 2024 has neither the tech advantage nor the intel.

The issue is probably lack of experience (IA fought many conflicts in 80s that seasoned it as compared to 2000s)

Indian govt should stop using security appratus to be used as an aman ka tamasha optic. Civic Action Programs and outreach programs karo but there's a limit to it bhenchod.
Also, They are trying to heat up North Kashmir. This is strategic level thinking from bakrichod government, gernails and ISI of padosi mulk.

Unless we use our assymetric advantage in the Naval domain to make life hell for Porkisatan shipping & imports & start to harass them they won't even care since ground terrain in Kashmir favours the terrorists & their sympathizers. Sensible people should stop using % of GDP figures , rather start using the term "percentage share of the Budget".

India- 12.9%

What gets allocated does not get utilized fully, does not make any sense to increase it further.
Anyway, the defence budget is already 12.9% of the Union Budget.
