Indian Politics and Democracy

Babaji shakes a leg with Putin. So Daddy America needs to reply somethings. So called VP Harris to talk to Rahul Gandhi to show some weightage. But problem is Sleepy Biden is on a trip to destroy democrats.

Narendra Modi can repay the favor by calling Donald Trump and say how's it going?

Coalmine is a sarkari employee himself going by his history, so his argument is from his perspective.
No, but i have grown up in sarkari environment.
Biometric attendance or whatever, should surely be installed. But Govt should be serious about Teachers job and paid for that. There duties should be defined, parameters where they will be assessed and promotional aspects. They should not be outsourced to do jobs that state govt employees dont want to do

I don't think any doubt exists regarding regime change ops by deep state

BJP's routing in the certain states like UP, MH and WB were it's own making. Let us not blame the social media or the external factors. Had the propaganda been so strong, BJP would not have gained in South and East.

Even the INDI alliance's "khatakhat khatakhat" lollipops dangled for the voters could not bring them anywhere close to the majority mark.

The main reason behind the 2024 result is the voter's fatigue and BJP's complacency. Some of the BJP candidates in the UP were so assured about their victories that they did not even campaign. Let us not forget about the "BJP washing machine".

What we are witnessing here looks nothing like a regime change operation, it is mostly lobbying and disinformation.

We as Indians must be more confident about ourselves. The Indian electoral process is too large and complex to come under such influence. Did not happen in the past, won't happen in the future.

Yeah bjp has it's own share of mistakes and blunders
And most importantly they haven't learnt anything
Even after everything they are repeating the same thing in Delhi election and definitely they will be doing other ones too
Duo's habit of giving power to chamchas will lead them to failure

Reminds me of that time when the Railways introduced a biometric attendance system - these exact talking points were repeated back then too. Tomorrow some other govt dept will introduce it and the same drama will repeat. Some things never change - babus be babus, lol.

These unions think sarkari employment is a MGNREGA.

I read this somewhere.

At the time of partition, Pakistan got the Army and India got the Bureaucracy.

Barring the African countries and a few other exceptions, most of the countries which gained independence after the WW2 enjoy a better standard of living, per capita income, and public infrastructure compared to India.

Reason: India completely skipped the bureaucratic and the police reforms. A corrupt politician is still accountable to the general public, while a bureaucrat is not.

During Modi's tenure as the CM of Gujarat, his government protected the tainted IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt until he became a direct threat to Modi. The state government refused to grant sanction for his prosecution (the same case which later put the guy in jail).

Very cute by reciting a single episode you conveniently left out the parts where Congress under the guidance of the Gandhi family have institutionalized corruption into the ranks of bureaucracy long before Modi and BJP came onto the scene. You have left out the shenanigans such as the coal scam the 2g scam bofors scam, etc. why your single focus on Modi’s particular act? You got an axe to grind?

I did not want to beat a dead horse. Other than the minority appeasement, corruption has been the second major reason behind the Indian voters keeping the Congress and it's allies away from at the center.

However, let us look at Narendra Modi's report card, shall we?

How many convictions has the BJP government won on the cases of corruption since 2014? ZERO.

let us assume that the courts unreasonably favor the anti-BJP politicians. let us lower our expectations a bit.

How many charge-sheets have been filed so far? ZERO.

Where is the Adarsh Housing Society scandal fame Ashok Chavan now?
Did Sharad Pawar receive a padma award in 2017?
What happened to the corruption charges against Ajit Pawar?

Now, let us look into the Hindu hriday samrat angle: what kind of masterstroke had Modi planned when he decided to confer the padma award to Mulayam Singh Yadav, the guy who ordered the killings of the Karsevaks?

Where is that corrupt female IAS officer from Jharkhand (Pooja Singhal)? Still suspended? Not terminated from her job?

Let us be realistic. We are being played by all sides.

70% in an Uttarakhand assembly
Due to 16K votes going to BSP candidate! But good performance by BJP on this seat.

However overall hearing its not going good for BJP.
