Ok so how does this sound:
I think we should not go back to original 3-4 SF units for PARA and also not this current 15 SF units
We should have permanently 'location' based maybe 7-10 units with a lower troop strength per unit [<400] (not to be treated as a battalion)

And pull out that shatrujeet brigade out of that 'brigade' system and turn it into an ARMY SF HQ or Command which can be linked to AFSOD
Separate out Airborne and keep the support units of Shatrujeet brigade with SF (or maybe divide, Airborne also requires it)

More Ideas like: Joint selection, Or maybe rotation of squads among units (limited to units with similar role)

Why are any of us under the impression still that they want a fix?

The current situation is their intended outcome- airborne officers wanted the extra pay of a nominal name change to ‘SF’

The Indian military effectively only has generalists to begin with, specialisation is too gora.

You’ll only see a further watering down from here- within 3-5 years women will be marching around with SF tabs, modi will probably want to see that before he steps down.

KASOTC is truely something and unheard of outside of NATO. His brainchild. Their SOF structure is also so simple and Clean.

Under a Unified Command:
1. SFG - Tier One Operators - Strategic Operations as well is CT (3 battalions)
2. QRF - Tier 2 - Raiders, JTACs, Air Wing. (Brigade Size) - this unit does the DA, CSAR, RECON, LRRP across Sea, Air, Land

They Treat SOF as a seperate Combat Arm - from Army,Navy, AF

Still Jordan's economy is constantly on life support supported by America. Trump knows this and will pressure Jordan to take in more Palestinians. On current trajectories, within a decade, India per capita nominal terms will surpass Jordan's.
