At the time of choosing F404 to power the development aircraft, it was a reasonable choice to me. Because Kaveri failed to materialise, Tejas had to carry on with it. I guess that engines for Mk1 were delivered as scheduled so what indications were there in 2021 that the engines for Mk1A would be late? I imagine that the effects of Covid-19 on the supply chain were not good for any engine builder. Supply chain disruption due to Russia invading Ukraine then followed.

Who knows what would have happened if EJ200 had been chosen instead of F404 (if it was suitable for Tejas). Would Eurojet have also been late in delivering?

Somebody please educate us on the jet engine hot core technology issue. That is the issue which is dogging the Kaveri engine. Can any of the tech obtained from GE engine collaboration useful.

The Government of India should downgrade work on Kaveri and stop listening to sweet talk of DRDO.

Fire all the people working on Kaveri engine and then start afresh.

To be fair, a new jet engine costs billions of dollars to develop - and that if you already know how to develop jet engines when you start on developing a new one. How much funding did GOI put into GTRE over the decades it was trying to develop Kaveri? I am not saying that GTRE and others involved did everything as well as could be done but I suspect that it was near impossible to develop the engine with the funding provided

Fire all of your workforce who actually know to work on jet engine and start new hmmm seems good

Funding is immaterial if project management is efficient or personnel are not working retirement on this job whether the project completed it not.

That indiscipline can only be dealt with when you start a fresh under new management
(Preferably private sector) and greater discipline. They begin where the previous team left. Ask for help from others and pay for it.

No!!!! Keep raising bonuses to those who keep working to grt it right and give them what they have been asking all along without delay instead of being penny pinching and constantly renegotiating the terms that you has agreed to prior.
