Can you point out sensors for the tonbo situational awareness system anywhere on the tank?? I looked multiple times at different pics but couldn't identify. I don't think it is installed in its current iteration. Rest agree, but question still remains as how are they going to tackle this big fpv/loitering munition threat.

I initially thought that semi-circular structure over a mast between rcws and commander's sight to be tonbo's see through armour but now it doesn't seem so
But I remember hearing that tonbo has been asked to supply see through armour for LT in a Twitter space

The gun mantlet is missing in the prototype.






The two circular openings at the base of hull are openings for the pump jet. Upto a certain GVW, Zorawar is amphibious.

Just look at the breadth of the hull. Either the hull is derived from K-9 Vajra or its a brand new design. This hull doesn't have any connection with Abhay IFV other than the fact that they both had been designed by CVRDE.



From this angle, it looks a lot like KF-41 Lynx.

There's another set of TI for the commander resulting in true hunter killer capabilities. Laser Warner receivers are present. Modules of APS be it radar apertures or the munition launcher and magazine are absent.

The light tank was delayed due to delay in obtaining licence for German MTU MT 881 Ka-500 V8 engine.

Good thing the Germans have come to their senses due to strategic developments in their neighborhood. (Or due to the lucrative p75 I deal)

Seems like an evolution of the Abhay IFV, so same DNA. Probably also has the same hydropneumatic suspension?

On an side note, there's no way it's 25 tons. Easily b/w 30-35 or at max of 37(if it has extensive armour else impossible)

Still no clue as of what made generails put a spec with nearly all the modern features with 25 ton limit
