Looks like sturdy build of 35T with reactive armour and ammunition. Another Airbus victory with A400 assembly in India is on the cards now.
I would prefer Japanese C2 considering Embraer C390 might not carry this.

25 tons limit is due to amphibious requirement, no? Not sure if 35 tons. It looks bulky, but those side-skirts aren't all armour, also there for buoyancy.

Nah, I meant with era/nera. As for the weight it also had 600 mm rha frontal protection requirement with that it will definitely breach 30 ton mark.

I think it will help with reducing maintenace also, because it will be hard to do track maintenance with the armour on the outside.

But how susceptible does that make the tank to getting tracked/mobility-killed? Surely, steel tracks with rubber pads would do the same job. But the weight penalty is indeed a pain.
