Simply put - Snipers put precision shots downrange at a longer distance, while Marksman provide precision shots at a closer distance and more rapidly.
Training, skillset, employment. Basically a Designated marksmans role is to provide mid range accurate fire support inside an infantry maneuver element (platoons/squads/sections etc) a sniper pair is employed for long range small arms precision fire, SR, ISTAR, in some militarys they also go through niche schools like tracking, specialised EW etc etc
At this point, MARCOS is just clowning on every other "SF" in India. Someone needs to identify whoever is responsible for this impeccable work and get them to modernize the Army SF, AF SF and NSG. (If only we had that strategic dexterity)
